Hotas not detected after update
List of things I've tried with no success. Devs please fix, it was working flawlessly before today.

- Set preferred device in joy.cpl
- Tried stem input on and off
- Looked for registry keys (there were none)
- Unplugged the taranis x7 multiple times and tried different usb ports
- DDU'd my graphics drivers and installed the latest drivers
- stopped the "inpoutx64" service
- repaired the Elytra anti-cheat
- Verified that windows is able to see the input in other games, which worked fine.

Here's a reddit post talking about the same thing:

I had opus 5.5 churn through this for hours and here's the best bug report it was able to come up with:

HOTAS no longer detected after Elytra module update (Oct 1)

Device: FrSky Taranis Q X7, USB joystick mode (HID game controller, VID 0483 / PID 5710, 8 axes, 24 buttons)
Game build: 25607185 (0.1.2), Steam, Windows 11 24H2

- HOTAS worked in my session starting Oct 1 16:43 UTC.
- On my next launch (Oct 1 20:22:56 UTC), Elytra installed module
0420A7DBB29611C3C0338497144C2682076A17C8E26C951E859A86EA49989CB829D1, replacing
0420D0DF436933F51E2A20CFB94E12281D634E2580C32CA3457133EE927D5C230948.
That session crashed (exit code 0xDEAD) at 20:28 UTC.
- Since then the game never detects the Taranis when binding axes in Settings > Gamepad > HOTAS.
Windows (joy.cpl / DirectInput / Windows.Gaming.Input) and other games see it fine.
- No game, driver or Windows update happened between the working and broken sessions.

Tried: deleting %LOCALAPPDATA%\Wardogs, verify + full reinstall, Elytra repair (reinstalls the same
modules), Steam Input on/off, other USB ports, clean GPU driver install.

Does the new Elytra module block generic STM32 HID devices (VID 0483), or is HOTAS detection broken generally?
Same thing happened too me. I've been at it for hours with no luck. PLEASE FIX!!
I found a workaround by installing vjoy and following this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/WarDogs/comments/1vvn152/insanely_underrated_control_option_for_flying/

But it is insanely weird that this is suddenly necessary from one day to the next. If you're facing this issue then this is the best solution I could come up with.
This is a bummer. My Taranis was too big and bulky, so I bought a Radimaster T8L. Couldn't use the buttons because they are considered sliders, so I mapped them with joy2key. It worked great for a few games and then I guess Elytra decided it doesn't like that. Works fine in other games but not WARDOGS now.

Even spent an hour or so disassemling it to replace the springs with low tension ones and I was really happy with how it felt. Now I have no use for it. :/
support got back to me and said they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. @Haxus did you try joystick_gremlin? The reddit post has a guide.
