WARDOGS

WARDOGS

Is there linux support?
I will be switching to linux soon so without linux support I wont be buying. And to add to that with windows 11 stuff going on more and more people are switching to linux.

Have exact the same question. Hope they dont forget Linux. Look at Arc Raiders. Many Linuxplayer will be hope on.
Proton is getting good enough on CachyOS that WarDogs won't need Linux support by the time it comes out.

Valve did all the work, problem nowadays is always the anticheat, if they want kernel or not.
Game is releasing this year, so we would love to know right now...
Tired of supporting games that dont support linux in the end
Linux is the future!
Look at my past thread, they said they're considering Linux.
i dont think. it has kernel anti cheat. i use steamos on my pc. so they limited their market. No one with a deck will be able to play this. They need to support linux a lot of ppl are leaving microslop, including me
Unreal Engine Windows binaries run well on Linux, and you don't need 'Official Linux Support' for this to work and it's the same for EAC which some have suggested WARDOGS will use. Valve, the Linux Community, Proton Developers do virtually all the heavy lifting. What will make or break is whether BLUKHEAD allows EAC (or whatever AC WARDOGS uses) to run on Linux.

What would really send the message that BULKHEAD sees what's coming and wants to be proactive would be a Linux binary version of WARDOGS. The Linux Tactical Realism game space is starved and pining for a quality Tactical Realism game that runs balls-to-the-walls on Linux, and gives them a game they love that also shows what OS can do. For the uninitiated: even with half-ass 'unofficial binary support' the performance uplift on Linux is not small.

That so many Windows game binaries run faster on Linux than Windows shows how badly Windows is circling the drain -- Linux in the Windows binary contest is like a one armed dwarf runner showing up for a marathon wearing a burlap running costume, dress shoes and leg weights -- and he wins the race... By a very clear margin.

The play-share statics for Linux[www.techpowerup.com] and the enormous long term decline in Windows adoption statistics[gs.statcounter.com] show exactly why this is a very smart time to be proactive.

Having a captive, talented, loyal audience (much of it successfully employed and earning) that will cherish a move like this, and show it -- would be a deal sealer, that few Linux Tactical Realism fans would ever walk away from even with the steepest game learning curve and design friction to chafe against their pet wishes.

Captive Audience BULKHEAD... Be the first and capture it.
+1 CachyOS here. Ever since the disappointment of BF6 I've dropped dual booting and will never go back to windows or support a studio that doesn't support 'nix. I really hope wardogs takes a leaf from the likes of Arc Raiders and The Finals.

You would be correct and mine was most likely made before them.

OMG, that's awesome! I'll pick up this game once it's playable on Linux.
