Hello everyone,

we just started an Open pre-Alpha playtests for our relaxing turn-based strategy of greenifying barren islands, Isletopia, which will last until May 5th!

Everyone can now try out the early version, and provide sincere feedback on the current game state and feel. We have a few months left to devote to the development, and we’d want to polish it as much as we can for the official global release.
* If you’ve played the closed version from the previous weeks, then you can now see some changes in the open version - for example: Arcade Mode. Let us know which mode you like more ;)

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Isletopia - the world of greenifying barren lands!

Did you ever feel like you’d want to reforestate every barren land you see? Now, you’ll have this chance in Isletopia - where your goal will be land reforestation and greenification of islands. Make them green and teeming with life again!

We’re currently at a point where we can invite smaller groups to playtest the current early version, to help us shape the game further, and see some of your best ideas implemented in the final version.

If you’re interested in how the development of the game goes, here’s just our latest list of updates/improvements in-game, and there is much much more coming in the following months that we're so excited to share!

- improved level goal circle progress
- added double water buffer on the bottom generation
- improved map pan when zooming to clip to borders properly
- improved placing particles added leafs and smoke
- double checked level caps on map
- reduced amount of houses a bit quickly
- regrow seeds not visible fixed
- new tile ditch variations (Wrong colors though!))
- balancing objects scoring a bit
- ditch placement correct transitions
- playing around with vertex shader for foliage wind sway
- app settings for music & sound level volumes added
- settings popup
- settings scrollbar display bug
- sliders generalized
- try again scroll bug fix
- credits & some other text improvements
- updated google forms links
- fixed some issues with sound/music defaults
- added dev toggles to settings for users to be able to switch
- improved settings menu
- balanced goals a bit
- improved rustling shader
- improved default sound volumes and volume toggling to properly account for default values as well

- switch zoom and move tutorials
- game remembers last patternID for each objects
- added modularized object render data for size and offsets

If you ever encounter a bug or you feel it is a bug, feel free to report it in the discussions below. We’d love to squeeze out as many bugs as we can, and polish the version for the best playing experience possible. Isletopia deserves this! ;)

But, please take into account that we’re a small dev team working behind the game, and we’re not a AAA company, so not everything can be implemented in the final version....

This looks a lot like: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593030/Terra_Nil/ (it has demo out) Its not a new concept but those two to release shortly after another... thats not a coincidence. Just like IT TAKES TWO and THE TWO OF US :/ Makes me wonder what sets this game apart, aside from a (probably) cheaper price tag?...
