Cosmetics

My friend keeps arguing with me that people are stealing the cosmetic drops.

When you do boss raids / co op raids is it whoever gets the gold item first owns it? Or is it, if it drops it’s yours no matter what? I know a lot of people probably brought this up before sorry.

That isn't the case. Everyone has their own drops. Other People running around can pick up the loot for you but it's still yours alone.

If an item visibly drops for you, and someone else picks it up, you still get it. The only thing that can happen is one party member visibly gets a cosmetic drop while you don't, but no one can "steal" a drop if it shows up for you on your screen. At that point, the only way to lose that drop is to not pick it up, so other people grabbing it is actually helpful to make sure you've got it secured.

So then no one can steal your cosmetics / legendary weapons and accessories basically?

yes the loot drop is your alone, i always let the team run and collect it for me XD

I really hope they fix the drop rates cos I’m getting sad that I barely see any cosmetic drops ;-:

i agree, but i belive the cosmetic you get from the drop, it will not drop duplicate?
someday... we will get the one we want.
for me i know the game love to troll on me, i will get that Gleam eyes headgear as the last one. lol

The in-game help section says otherwise. look at co-op quest in the help section, third tab. Says weapon skins and costumes are obtained only by the player who picked them up, everything else is shared.

Yes that's because cosmetics only drop for you and only show for you when they drop, I've had cosmetics drop for me, and my friends didn't see any cosmetic drop on the ground, basically the drops everyone can see are shared, the drops only you can see (Which is only cosmetics and weapon skins) are yours and yours alone, only you can see it if you get it.

For further confirmation, i've had cosmetic items drop, and it landed directly on top of another player, which it did not disappear(it would have if it were any other drop). Cosmetics cannot be stolen, they just have atrociously low drop rates.

Similarly; adding my confirmation. Landed right in the middle of everyone for me.

Every loot is shared (you get it even if someone else pick it up) except cosmetics. Cosmetics is 'unique' to each player and yes. You have to pick it up yourself.
