My level stuck at 20 at free roam

Does anyone know how to increase level at free roam ? Mine stuck at level 20

it's fixed at 20 for free roam. My guess it's just a mode for you to practice characters and chill, you can only fight those higher level mobs by scaling with your gears instead from raids and co-op grind. No clue does higher level mobs in free roam even drop better items or not.

speaking of freeroam, has anyone else been having it crash and not load the character in on freeroam where you have to force close the game? its happened to my brother 3 times now and it seems to only happen when the data has changed pop up comes up after he reopens the game.

This is for "balance". I'm pretty sure free mode doesn't have a stat cap on equipment so you get 100% of your gear strength unlike how the other tiered content will cap your strength. I think chest drops also go off of what your player level is.

I'm pretty sure I saw some person that was over lvl 20 in free roam once... but unfortunately didn't take a screenshot so maybe I'm just misremembering, but maybe there is some way to raise it.

That is correct yeah. Free roam is like a nice turn off your brain and walk around farm. You get gear mainly from opening the gold chests, and it doesn't matter what rank the named enemy was, you will get gear at your player rank.

Your "level" in free roam is your equipment level pretty much. You'll notice you spawn in higher level locations as you upgrade your gear.

and don't bother killing higher then your gear rank, with lvl 30's gear I killed a 94 boss with shino took around 10~15 mins and dropped the same rank of gear, around 30's
