And if you lose, it feels like a friggin waste of time, since you gain nothing from attempts (not saying that you should, but this does not invalidate the fact).
Verdict: for how stupid this challenge is, instead of it dropping 1 guaranteed legendary, it should drop 10.
Sorry for the rant, but seriously. This is the most unfun thing that I have done in a video game, in a while. Hell, even grinding the same mobs for 1,000 hours felt more fun in Black Desert.
EDIT: killed it on 3rd attempt, but still. Not fun lol.
Yep it's been pretty miserable for me as well especially since i have to play at 220 ping to the Asian server and i keep constantly getting hit by attacks that i have clearly dodged only for it to hit me 1 second later, I only just hit level 90 yesterday after a load of grinding and this raid is putting me off the game, really isn't worth the hassle at all, was hoping to use the raid to get player xp up to level 100 so i can finally start doing proper loadouts but it looks like i'm gonna have to do another 100+ tier 3 co-op quests now instead, also i don't even know why they let you join at level 90 you barely contribute to anything
My tip would be to play Yuna, and play very carefully, and go for survival instead of dealing damage. If you don't think it's safe, then don't do it.
EDIT: just died when boss had like 5% hp left, because I wanted to rescue someone. Imagine. Just imagine my feelings.
Don't revive anyone unless there's less than 10 people in the run, it's not worth it.
Isnt that the main thing in CoOp game, to work with others and help each other?
I mean i am not surprised there are selfish people who only look for damage and nothing else but for me point is working together.
Today i played 4 Extreme Boss Raid and people actually run all over the map to revive people and we manage to finish 3 of these 4 with all 20 players alive and it felt amazing.
If there's no risk of dying, go ahead, but if you're min-maxed in gear, each second you waste not dealing damage is going to drag the fight on much longer, risking more and more deaths.
Do I, as someone who hits 10~25m in Ex Skull Reaper, want to revive someone who can barely do 1-2m in the entire fight despite surviving to the end? If i'm worth 5~20x more than some guy who died, why bother reviving them lol?
Then, with all respect, and i dont mean this as insult or anything like that, just genuine question, why you play CoOp games?
I mean i rly dont care if some do 500k damage i want as many people to finish mission so we all can get reward.
I do agree, if you see that attack is coming your way and you still keep reviving someone, that is not good decision but not reviving someone just so i can do 500k damage in that time nullify CoOP aspect of the game.
It went surprisingly well
Getting a participation trophy is what makes a lot of people feel entitled to things in games these days. Not counting people new to the fight, if you're bad at the game and fail to clear the content within the death limit(or conversely, the time limit), why should you expect rewards?
If anything, SAO:FD needs this sort of punishing content to make the endgame FEEL rewarding. On the downside, Ex Reaper isn't even guaranteed to give Yellows, let alone Purples. If I have to bust my own butt carrying 10+ people on my back with 1 or 2 others, why do they deserve rewards?
If they can survive to the end, then sure, they can have their participation trophy. As it stands, each player that gets removed from the quest doesn't matter until the last 6, as on average, 10-15 players in every quest just simply do negligible damage, and that's a fact. It's not really "co-op" if the only "co-op" is me carrying people. At that point, it's a single player game.
Laps not saying they are against reviving, just to be smart about it. I dont get ur argument about "why play coop games".
If you quit after failing 1-3 times, then the content wasn't for you to begin with.
I think this is one of the times where I can say "get good" not as an insult, but as a genuine recommendation. No gear is going to prepare you for one shots, you simply have to get better at dodging, blocking, and learning when to use lengthy animation skills like nightmare rain, star splash, flying burst, etc.
When i say CoOp, i mean that, that is the point of cooperation with other, you work together with other people to finish missions. Leaving others to die just make these groups in CoOp and Raids pointless.
Sorry then, i guess this was on me, i always put team first, then everything else, that is how i always play, every game. I guess i expected everyone to play like me, witch was stupid on my part.
