MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED BATTLE DESTINY REMASTERED

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED BATTLE DESTINY REMASTERED

Gundam games we want remastered and ported
Figured we give Bandai a list of gundam games we would like to see in the future. My own list is just personally me and I will say why if you are curious for the bad choice it seems.

- Federation Vs Zeon (Obviously best game)
- Journey to Jaburo (Fun game, dmg shields appear in cutscenes)
- Gundam Crossfire (Explain below)
- Gundam Crossfire like game

Now you might be wondering why I didn't add something like UC 0079. Simple reason, I didnt play it. For those curious, it was game meant to be played in first person, meaning you was forced to fight cockpit. While that did seem like an interesting option, I rather look at the suit more as I fight. So I skipped that and the Zeonic Front.

As for why I choose Gundam Crossfire. Yes I know it was considered poor game and score. But I was bored and gave it a shot, and it was actually an underrated game. You might as well say it was game journalist who wrote that score and everything cause they didn't know Doom Eternal would curb stomp them.

The game was fun and it had ways that would limit you in a battle. As I played I laughed and enjoyed my MS lost its head at the near start of a mission from a NPC shooting it off. There was also case often when in the fight, my mech would lose its arm/hand. Meaning the weapon it held be gone too. You think this would trouble, but you disengage your shield and use your left arm to put in the melee weapon to continue the fight. If you lost both, you would just go in kicking the enemy down. If you ran out of ammo, you can return to ally supply depo for resupply. They couldn't do anything about the damage you take, but that was just fine with me. Then the continues battle at Odyessa Mine site. It was an enjoyable challenge all the way through. You can fight for either Federation or Zeon, and though you could hire pilots from the show, it wasn't like they would talk to you.

I later on learned at Japan made another game like Gundam Crossfire but I forgot the title, and wished I could have played it.

Would be nice to get one of the Gihren's Greed games officially remastered and translated.

I'm curious why you'd single out Federation vs Zeon, but not GvZG, which had everything the first game had, but so much more. Multiple story modes across multiple eras with alternate timeline shenanigans? Come on. They even managed to rope in Judau and the ZZ!

Anyway, that game you're thinking of that was like a Crossfire sequel was Mobile Suit Gundam Senki: Battlefield Record Universal Century 0081. It is, in fact, one of the top contenders for "Best Gundam Game ever made."

While it drops the localized damaged mechanic of Crossfire, it has much better performance (mostly stable at 30fps), excellent visuals, much bigger maps, a *fantastic* upgrade system that lets you develop entry-tier suits that plod around like the giant hulking robots of Zeonic Front to fully kitted-out custom units that can zip around the maps like something out of ZOE. It's also got a great (and *canon*) story campaign that's kind of like 0083, had 0083 been, you know, good, along with a free mission mode that lets you play through the war, essentially, as a nameless grunt. And while that mode had a few issues (you needed to be on a higher difficulty mode to get the better drops from each mission, and could only access those missions playing online) being able to do it co-op was an incredible experience.

Gundam Senki should absolutely be at the very top of any list like this. None of the other Gundam games -- especially those few that have been localized into English -- come anywhere close.

....

Beyond that, I'll second the Gihren's Greed nomination. On the subject of bizarre alternate timeline shenanigans, that's the gold standard right there. Though, personally, I'd much rather see a brand new entry in the series so that it might incorporate some of whatever it is that GQuuuuuux is trying to do.

Then there's Gundam Battle Universe, the immediate precursor to Battle Destiny, which is essentially the ultimate UC gundam game, with an enormous roster of playable mobile suits and a campaign mode that lets you play through all of the major conflicts, as part of each major faction, from the OG Gundam up to CCA.

Plus, it has late-UC unlockables, and any game that lets you rocket around as an F91-era suit is pretty damn appealing in my book.

It's only real deficiency is that it's... not exactly very appealing, visually. Don't get me wrong, it holds up much better than most PSP games -- it's mostly just the muddy textures and lack of visual flair -- but it would need a lot more work to look "presentable" to the same extent as Artdink's Vita games.

And, certainly, there are many other titles I could mention (True Odyssey/MS Saga comes to mind) but I think I'll end it at this for now. Don't wanna suck all the air outta the room with a too-long post.

I never played GvsZG. Cause at the time I probable never heard of it, and was probable in the middle of something. Between moving, grandparents trying to kill each other, mother buying some horses, and possible me trying to get used to driving. I somehow didn't to know of it. But thanks for letting me know it Senki.
Gotcha. I can't exactly say GvZG holds up super well by modern standards, but (especially if you still like FvZ) it's definitely worth giving a try -- and runs pretty flawlessly on PCSX2, btw.

Seems Senki can't be found anywhere. Well, all the more reason for it to be remastered and global release I guess.

Not as a new copy, no. I don't think it was ever even available digitally. But there are still a handful of secondhand copies floating around. Like right now, there are two or three listed on ebay for a decent price -- $25 USD or thereabouts.

EDIT: And, of course, due to it's age there's no real way to access the online content, which is really what makes Free Mission Mode the most rewarding, nor is it possible to pick up the DLC -- so no Gerbera Tetra or Rick Dias, which suuuuuuuuucks.

I'd kill for an MS Saga remaster, complete with all the new suits that have been added over the years

Considering how bad the last one sold, you'd probably have to do something much worse than that and I don't think it would be worth it.

The entire Gihren no Yabou series and all Gundam SEED games (including that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one for WonderSwan Color)
Just put them up then someone will make a fan translation for the west.
Obviously besides Zeonic Front and a fully finished version of Gundam Crossfire/Target-In-Sight, I'd personally love Battle Universe, Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn and Side Stories Missing Link.

Nitpick: The mining base missions aren't in Odessa. Odessa is in Ukraine, the mining base missions are in Africa.

Anyway, yeah. Crossfire is very underrated.

I still remember facing that final mission as the Federation in a Gundam Ground Type and IMMEDIATELY losing my unit's left arm from the elbow down. Still ended up winning that mission though.

Would have been funny if you was in the Ez8, lost the arm, then instead of using a beam saber, it would go and pick up said arm to beat them to death it. XD
I would love to see:
Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam
This came out stateside after Federation vs Zeta
Similar playstayle bug a masive what if campaign
centering around how many changes to the timeline
would need to occur before the horrible events could
be countered.

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories
Shares similar gameplay from Crossfire slightly better
execution and squad mates are better integrated.
The story is telling several different campaigns of various
side stories in the one year war.
This was made for the ps3.
Sadly it never made it stateside.
