still crashes on win10 build 10122

just found a workaround to get the game working on windows 10. go to the dg install location i.e. C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\defensegridtheawakening\ , and0 run the executable defensegrid.exe as an administrator.(right click -> run as administrator)

I don't have Windows 10 yet, but I plan to upgrade with the free upgrade that's coming. Thanks in advance for finding this solution :)

it's not a perfect solution, but hopefully hidden path or valve will fix the issue when win10 goes rtm

This game is on the list from Microsoft I saw in the tech news yesterday (8-8-15): games that are Not compatible, like Stronghold Crusader. Already there are work arounds for the SC, and for this one too as noted by Chris above. I have yet to upgrade. Want to playthrough SC and Defence Grid again for the fun of it while they continue to iron out the bugs and improve drivers. No hurry.

Works perfectly fine in Windows 10. I was just playing it moments ago.

I guess it didn't work in an early preview, but it definitely works for me in the final release version of Windows 10.

Currently I'm playing DG on Windows 10. This game has no issue whatsoever right now as far as I can see - beaten 3 levels to test.

you should look at the link address contents, it is clearly about windows insider preview and the tech preview version of Windows 10. I am using the release version of windows 10 and it works just fine.

refuses to start on my win 10 ( end of august, clean install). starts and minimizes after that. cannot maximize. run as admin doesn't help, compatibility mode doesn't either. any tips?
