Take a chance and make up your own mind. It can be very rewarding.
Try it yourself.
This one for me is simple to grasp but takes effort to master - and you can always up the difficulty, plus the addition of the DLC's do keep it fresh.
It's definitely worth a punt in my opinion. :)
I like this game a lot, but it's not easy. With every stage you can do some extra challenges. They are nice to do, once you figured out a good lay-out for your towers.
I haven't played many tower-defense games, but another one that might be worth checking out is: "GemCraft - Chasing Shadows"...
You have NO freedom in building.
You can't choose the target to focus (far / low hp / nearest to core etc).
You got no choice in difficulty. Ressources are ridiculously low.
This game is old and bad. Regardless of its price.. why someone would buy a cheap game if it's no fun ?
In fact it's more a puzzle game than a TD. NO FUN simply.
I had much (and still play co-op with friends for intense fun) with SOL SURVIVOR
Gemcraft CS for great solo TD. Even Defender's Quest is way more funny than this.
