That's a pity....EA shouldn't get away with killing the game we paid for! They should be forced to offer refunds at the very least!!!

Would you rather purchase a game like Assetto Corsa Competizione and deal with cheaters?
Because i would def not purchase such a game in 2024 anymore.

Its not the developers or publishers fault that Cheaterswarms became so big and impactful, that they ruin their sales.

While i take your point on the amount of cheaters around these days, i personally have no interest in multiplayer, i only enjoy single player offline mode so surely they could have found a way to only install this invasive software on the computers of people who want the online experience. Plus the fact that they decided to add it months after release with no option of a refund for people who never would have bought it if it was there on release day, that's what annoys me more than anything. I asked for a refund on steam but no joy because of the amount of hours i played on it but truth is most of that time was fiddling with settings trying to get the VR somewhat playable. I got it to a place where i was happy enough with it but now i can't even use it at all.

Ok yeah i get that, its really not nice to be locked out afterwards and not seeing a refund either. Probably its best to pull up a topic at ea forums

they expanded the kernel ac to battlefield 1 so it seems to become the new standard :(

yep, I uninstalled the game as soon as Anticheat was released, waste of money for me sadly as it was purchased prior to discounts, lesson learnt

I fully agree with you mate but haven't you seen the guide to roll it back to 1.8.1? I have done that and am enjoying my WRC VR experience again.

No thats the first i heard of that, any chance you could tell me where to find that, i'd love to get back into it, cheers for mentioning it though...

Why does it not start on your pc? Is it related to Windows 10 build?

I uninstalled it before the update with the anti cheat. I refuse to put that crap on my pc. Hopefully i can roll it back to a previous version before that update.

link would be appreciated. at this point, I still refuse to invest any time in a workaround, but I'r really love to play the game which ran perfectly until three months ago, so knowing how to get it back to work would be cool.
