But on high/ultra on a 40 inch OLED in HDR, this game looks truly next gen.
Yay Mr Quick420,
Hope you been behaving in Motorsports.
Would you believe me if i said the 2hr refund window is about as long as this game takes to Compile shaders causing the stutter effect in real time while your driving then disappears afterwards
If you don't mind, please share more of your experiences in the game -- things you're enjoying and things that bother you.
Before hand, yes i understand the image is way over exposed, but windows does not take HDR screenshots correctly and i wasnt going to turn off just for a screen shot, but you ovbiously havent played the game if you make that claim and certainly not Kenya, it has tons of non flat and detailed roads...i never let a youtuber decide for me if im gonna buy it,if i dont like something im just more cautious buying the next one from them.
Anyways i hit one of these several large pot hole like areas on my kenya rally run and nothing is more scary than going really fast and hitting one wrong and your car going rear end high lol

The comments about the road surface are so inconsistent it feels like people are playing different games all together. Once I get the game, I'm sure I'll be able to determine whether there is some sort of uneven surface or not. Till then, it's hell of confusing.
I think to differentiate Kenya from other countries, they made the Kenya more rough. i also think some people think rally stages are like driving King of the Hammers. Its not. A lot of rally is done on smooth-ish or recently grated gravel roads. These are real roads afterall that are maintained, even if its just the local municipality running a grater over it.
Modern rally suspension also is good. Here is a video of KR in Estonia. For the most part, the roads are not glasss but its not like the car is bouncing all over the road from potholes and ruts either, There is camber in some corners and steep shoulders on the sides, which this game emulates somewhat.
I think some of the smaller rocks in the game, like at the side of the road, need to be more consequential if you hit them though. Maybe thats what ppl are talking about.

re-read nike23's comment.
If he had stated only on asphalt, I could have agreed, but I have no problem sliding the car around on dirt or snow.
He's one of the Youtube Sim Racers that I dont pay much attention to. He may have some valid points but I do not put much credibility to his driving impressions based on his prior reviews of other games. His sthizick is that he is fairly sensationalistic. He also talks from both sides of his mouth. The game is both "Im having a very enjoyable time" and "This game is a major disapointment". He goes "Im not a real rally driver" but then talks like he knows what a rally car should feel like based on, Im not sure what credentials. And I get, most of us are not IRL rally drivers but he comes off as he thinks he knows it all.
That's quite fair. I think the pieces of the puzzle are coming together now. Appreciate it!
