PLEASE REMOVE EA App background use requirement
EA please remove EA App background use requirement like you did for F1 23.

There is no need for 3 DRM's.
You have Stream DRM, Denuvo DRM and EA App DRM.

EA, we don't need your EA App background use requirement for the Steam version.

Codemasters games were absolutely fine without your bloatware.

Don't let us down EA c'mon.
Codemasters don't like your EA App background use requirement either.

--------------------
UPDATE . . .
The store page has been updated and the EA App background use requirement is now gone. So it looks like EA has removed the EA APP requirement like they did for F1 23. Thanks EA. EA FC 24 NEXT PLEASE . . .

I second this notion.

Steam has built-in drm solutions. Ones that even work well with proton. It is mighty annoying that when I want to play an old game (mirror's edge catalyst) that the e.a.app breaks my install every other day I want to go back to that game! I do not need this kind of superfluous hassle in one of my most favorite game-types, at all!

agree, but unlikely they'll listen,
even nfs 15 still have always online drm, it was released years ago.

If a publisher has its own launcher, be grateful you can play it on steam at all.

I agree

As F1 23 from codies i think wrc will be without ea app too

They patched EA App requirement out of F1 23.

As for Denuvo, I’m sure it gets cracked in less than a week. So, all Denuvo does is hurts the paying customer. As I'm always a genuine paying customer, so I get reduced performance and all their bloatware. It is not fair.

I hope EA does what’s right for their paying customers.

I agree OP, please EA no bloatware.

One form of DRM is enough. I hate DRM stacked on top of DRM stacked on top of DRM

Then let's not buy it unless it's removed. They most likely don't read user comments but they see their sales volume.
Yeah, I am not installing 3rd party software. I don't play any games like that anymore, they are so much hassle. I am not at all happy about denuvo, but on top of that to also require 3rd party software? No fkn thanks. Now please don't tell me it's always online and therefore we wont be able to play it in 2-10 years when they shut the servers down. I am not paying for a product I cant own or trust. FK u ea.

"After reading some random post on the steam forums we have decided to remove EA launcher and DRM" - EA, never.

+1 here
I have no need for it. It will only hinder.
I'll need every extra ounce or perf i can get, even if it is just 1-3%
I don't want anything hitching my VR experience.

While I agree with the op, asking to remove this requirement is a waste of time.
