Chapter 2 ending bugged

At the end of chapter 2, according to several walkthroughs, after delivering the cannon size findings, it's supposed to show you a newspaper page and then update your journal in transition to chapter 3. My game showed me only the newspaper page and then threw me back to the map, where there's nothing to do, since the next actions you're supposed to do in chapter 3 are not available yet. Playing everything again up to the ending of chapter 2 just to see if it works this time around is just tedious, is there any fix to this?

unfortunately game is glitchy. if you don't follow the linear "right" path, your next actions not gonna available to you and you re gonna be stuck. this happened a few times to me and i finally gave up and uninstalled the game. if you still want to continue the game you ll have to reload from a old save and play everything again because there is no auto save.

I followed this walk through entirely. No bug ever happened. Make sure you have at least two saves in case.
