The shadow of the deer in the dark woods is a reference to rusty lake and mr fox probably too but not sure
Also, The people traped inside wax statue is also the theme of an horror movie (can't remember the name rn)
The message above uv lamp is from The Raven from Edgar Allan Poe. wich is a poem who explores how grief can overcome pple and make them unable to live in the present and engage with pple.
There is probably more but this is my first playtrough and it's all that came up to me so far
Luke's Coffee Shop is a reference to Gilmore Girls.
The axe is a reference to The Shining, Downfall itself just basically being a mix of The Shining and Silent Hill... still was kinda dissapointed in neither game no one says "Heeeres Johny!" there was a few times when I thought "Shes gonna say the line!" but then she didnt lol
I feel like some scenes and characters are related to Rem's previous games - the axe is Downfall, fat hungry female monsters - Sophie that Joe had to kill as Angie did, cat's death - cat burned by Joe, The Sculptor on the ship - doctor Z who made art using female corpses, in the first scene Angie hangs herself - as did Lorelai's mum, the puzzle where Angie burns the body to get chalk reminds me a lot of the end of Downfall when Ivy was basically fried alive.
Another thing; this game has almost the exact same opening as TCL.
Its actually the song you hear in the main menu... and it fits since its just called "Menu" on the OST lol
The Cat looks and sounds suspiciously like Cheshire Cat from American McGee's Alice and its sequel. He also conncected to a house fire, like in Alice.
The whole ship segment references Waxworks, The Thing (head on spider legs) and House of Wax.
Angie and friends watch "Titanic" on tv.
Ruby and Destiny could be a pun aimed at Pokemon Ruby Destiny series of ROM hacks.
So, we have huge blonde girl who is very muscular, pretty violent and has a dead father problem. Um... Abby Anderson from TLoU 2, is that you?
"Red Herring" brand of tuna is a slang term for "false lead" in screenplay writing. Obviously, tuna can is absolutely useless.
"Firestarter" achievement is probably a reference to The Prodigy song of the same name.
"Gen Rush" achievement. Gen Rush is a term from Dead by Daylight wich means a specific tactic from survivors team. I think I've read somewhere that Rem is an avid DbD player.
A kid in a yellow raincoat (splash!), a red baloon graffiti, a paper boat... That's It. The one by S. King.
The whole "you have an item that contains your sickness, so you have to feed it to someone else to get better" is exactly how things turn out in "Thinner" novel. Again, by one S. King.

We have a dodge move, an axe, we can put a fire "spell" on that axe, we need to rest on specific points in game world (- Cigarette Lit -) and there are doors that can't be open from this side. Wich means "Burnhouse Lane" is a soulsborne game.
Casablanca. Chapter 5. Blood Mary: I think this Is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
