Game Does Not Start For Me (HELP)
Guys I bought the game from steam sale 6 days ago and haven't played it cause it never wants to start for me. It always ends up giving me a error that says "The app timed out" The servers took too long to do their server thing. Make sure your connected to internet and try again.
- I have great internet
- After launching NFS Unnbound it immediately sends me the message
any help is appreciated

I think it's EA App being a broken useless piece of ♥♥♥♥ as always. I was able to launch the game through it directly but now I can't do that either.

I found a solution on Reddit — you need to add the game folder to Windows Defender's exception list. My game launches 100% of the time now.

How?
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions. Select Add an exclusion, and then select from files, folders, file types, or process.

You need to add the steam game folder to it which you can find by rightclicking the game in your steam library list > Manage > Browse local files, then you copy the folder path from the Windows explorer path string at the top. Copy that path and add it to the Windows Defender exclusion list.
