- Proper damage system that's not just there to make cop chases harder.
- Can buy used cars and fix them up.
- Upgrades are individual parts that you can buy multiples of.
- You can look at all of the media for each car such as advertisements, magazine covers and promotional photos.
- You can put your car up for sale with a price higher than what it is actually currently worth, and can even be offered a higher price for your car if you are lucky enough.
- 90% of the content isn't locked behind multiplayer.
- Autobahn
- No annoying crash cam that takes away control for a few seconds.
- No "speedpass".
- Objectively superior OST.
- Actual car culture and not some perceived view of it.
- Cheat codes that let you add funny modifiers to the game like making every car tiny.
- Car mods that are not just replacements for existing cars.
- All cars are in the base game and not locked behind a paywall.
- All of the DLC cars are free to download, no strings attached.
- Physics were a great blend of arcade and simulation, making it accessible for almost everyone.

I also love the burst nitrous in this game as it literally changed the racing adventure.
Unbound doesn't even support steering wheels properly, something Porsche Unleashed/2000 does very well. It also supports free ride, custom races. It even have visuals and custom input for left and right indicator. Even input for hazard lights. Might seem like insignificant details but the golden era for need for speed was around 2000-2002.

criterion just sucks as a dev team. not 1 game where there wasnt bug using on PvP side and terrible bugs inside the whole thing. i just recently noticed there are bugged cars which outperform any car in spezific classes.. but its criterion so i dont exspected much of it.
