S car in B tier

WHY cant i use my F1 S tier car in a B tier race.

im just starting out and i have this car from playing NFS heat. i shouldnt have to use my crappy B tier car if i own an S tier already.

reason im asking is cuz if i upgrade my B tier car to say an A tier car will i not be able to run a B tier race with that car? also when im driving my F1 S tier car when i go to a race and start it. i end up in my B tier car.

am i missing something? if im not this is just stupid i should be able to use a car that is far better in preformence than the race requires. what im saying is B tier races should be the min you need and can still use a S tier car

You are supposed to have a car in each class. The first week is about racing with B class cars.

AFAIK you used to, then in multiplayer everyone started driving the 488 Pista in B rank by downgrading the transmission, so that got nerfed.

You will not be able to use the McLaren F1 until the third week where you will unlock the S class races.

At the start of the game all races are class A/B and you will only be able to use cars of those classes no matter what you have in the garage.
