Consistent issues with launching the game

For several months, I have been unable to launch this game through both the EA app and Steam and I've tried everything short of a new Windows install to get it working. There is no dialogue when it fails to launch, simply reverts my status on steam from "playing NFS unbound" to "online" and closes the program in task manager

Whenever I redownload this game to see if it will work, it ends up becoming a paperweight on my drive, sitting there and doing nothing as I cannot get into the game no matter what I try.

I'm wondering what the issue could be caused by as the only factors I've not tested are a different GPU manufacturer (currently on AMD with no plan to switch) or reinstalling my OS

I have the same issue and found a thread in reddit which i paste to someone on this forum but can't find it anymore (i guess reddit link's banned ?) , anyway...
I've manage to launch the game following their tip, when you launch the game keep your eyes on steam and at the very moment it's going from "in game" to "play" click play again, don't hesitate to do it several time until it work (and EA telling you that the game is already loading) but to be honest this game doesn't worth it, a complete cringe garbage feeling like a huge downgrade from the previous entry; save your time with this mess of a game and try heat and payback, they're worthing it.

I was having the same issue for months, but i solve it this week. Just make all the NFS Unbound folder (named EXCALIBUR) an exclusion in windows defender. I don't know why it works, but it worked for me.
