My nfs just don't open anymore

I try to open it, but it gives me a "DirectX" and says for me about my gpu

I've encountered this issue a few times myself as well, however mine appears while playing the game for some time. For me, a restart of the game fixes it but I'm assuming this isn't the case for you.

I'm not sure if the problem is due to the game itself or AMD's video drivers, since they're notoriously buggy. I see you're using AMD Adrenalin 24.9.1, which is known to be a stable version by the community. From my own previous research and experience, I've found version 24.8.1 to be the most stable. You could try removing your current AMD Adrenalin drivers with the AMD Cleanup Utility [www.amd.com], then installing version 24.8.1 [www.amd.com]

If that doesn't work, or you'd like to try something a bit less time consuming first, you can try this:

1. Click Win+R on your keyboard and enter '%localappdata%'
   
2. Open the 'Link2EA' folder
   
3. Open the 'Cache' folder and delete the 'qmlcache' folder
   
4. On Steam, select 'Friends' at the top in the title bar and set to 'Invisible'
   
5. Try launching your game through Steam again. If it launches, you're more than welcome to set your Steam presence back to 'Online'

Also, you can try simply just switching to 'Invisible' without deleting anything and try launching the game. Unfortunately, if none of the above solves your issue I'm not sure what else to recommend other than waiting for an update for the game.

I have the same problem with an Nvidia card. My best guess is maybe the newest windows update, as that's when mine started acting up for me. Not sure 100% if windows itself is the problem though.

Yea same thing for me for my Nvidia card i think its the game or the new windows update.

Go to the Documents folder, find the EA Games folder, delete the Need for Speed Unbound folder.

I did it yesterday and it worked for me. There is a similar problem with the BF2042 and I didn't believe it would work lol

Ive never been able to open my game! Gives me "Error Code 8" and says that it can't save game.

It lets me open NFS Heat, but whenever I open it back up, ALL my save data is gone!

Anyone ever able to fix this issue? I've tried everything lol

I was running the game just fine on Adrenalin version 24.12.1 drivers. This is, after latest windows 11 update of 24h2, it gave me that error upon opening too.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Turning off HDR completely under display settings in windows 11 for some reason allows the game to launch normally for me. I found out however when i would re-enable HDR under display settings the game would act like it start and then nothing again. I wanted to share in case I can help someone experiencing the same issue even after validating steam files and uninstalling/reinstalling the game and or the ea app as well like i had done. So I believe the issue to be related to HDR in the latest build of windows 11 24H2. I also can only get it to launch from the EA App its self after a few attempts and not using the play button in steam after having done all of the above which I also find odd so im not quite sure what all is broken. Online Status for Steam and EA does not seem to matter for me.
