Idea for a dlc, since the soundtrack is absolute crap like every game past older NFS (the likes of underground,mw,hot pursuit) I would pay extra 80$, just to have a refreshed version of all the classics. You get money and fans will be happy. Classics remain classics, no debate about it why.

''don't live in the past bro, go with the times'', well there is not a single Drift Phonk / House Phonk track what so ever in it. If we speak about present underground culture.

All we get is my ngger in every track x100. If that's everything they know in LA, they clearly have brain dmg. YK there is a underground culture outside of the US as well ?

Umek is the only guy who deserves to be on the tracklist. Everything else is absolute ♥♥♥♥.
Shirin David is going to represent german rap ? I am not sure what the tracklead artist was smoking and I am all down for the likes of asap.... but cmon dude.

Are you ♥♥♥ serious ? It's just sad to turn down the music in every game, it was once a staple of the series decades ago. If you think Rock and Techno also has no place in a new ''gen'' game, you are simply stupid and ignorant. I am also not against rap in general, older titles covered this with a LOT more class yk. Not only the games went to crap, the artists too I guess. If I hear one more time my ngger, I want to run amok.

I like the soundtrack from NFS III Hot Pursuit and NFS High Stakes better, but I hate how they censored NFS Hot Pursuit 2's licensed soundtrack. Besides, we all going to remember Saki Kaskas no matter what. That once great legendary game music producer knows how to make music through my generation of Need For Speed.

You already have my respect for mention phonk! I 100% agree with you, this rap/trap BS we have in almost every racing game these days (except Forza) is just annoying af. How hard it is to find some good Drum & Bass or Rock songs? Even non licensed music like the one from games like Trail Out is just pure fire! I'm already at the point where I won't even care if they just add mainstream dance music from artists like Lady Gaga or Rihanna, because it's at least not trap! Sure it's a racing game about illegal street racing, but that doesn't mean rap is the only genre that work. Why not Eurobeat, Heavy Metal or just classic EDM? It's ridiculous.

Btw I made a petition for adding custom music. Sure we can just use spotify, but most the time the music doesn't blend in or stop when a cutscene start etc. Custom music would be better because you could have something similar to GTA where you music appear in the radio together with commercials. This is much better for the immersion of the game.

Imagine having a radio ingame, pick the genre you want and let it rip. For my taste they try a bit too hard with asap and the Palace merch stuff as well. Back then I been thinking 2015 was pretty bad, but I am guilty of leaving the music on most of the time. This time it's the same with heat and everything else. Music Volume 0% - now all of this costs money, money better spend elsewhere. This tracklist doesn't work for me and for 100's of others. Remember even 2015 brought back some Carbon Bangers - I respect this deeply to this day.

Since music is highly subjective, I can still argue need for speed been known to have an incredible diverese cast and bangers years ago. ''Unbound'' would have been perfect to please most genres and make everyone happy for once. The extreme focus on rap gets fkn old fast to a point where it makes me insane. Hip Hop Culture & Street Racing mabey only goes well for around 2% of 98% as a whole. Let's say you will not hear NIGHTRIDE blast my ngger on meet ups 24 hours. They missed out on Phonk big time. Or been sleeping on the car culture outside of the us.

Just for the ''vibes'' sake of the game, having an incredible bad tracklist... doesn't fix the problem of a completely wasted soundtrack once again. Glad there are people out there like yourself making a petition, tells them everything they need to know. With UMEK alone they have shown, if they want they CAN. So I don't rly know what the FKN problem is anymore. Reminds me on a drift meet up where someone was blasting Umek while going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy on the ring. Good times. If they rly want to be unbound, might as well take a look outside the world of the US then. Japanese underground racing prob. also has a different take on music, outside of rap for obvs. reasons.

You don't even need licensed music to do a better job than Ghost, a game came out recently called Trail Out, the soundtrack consists entirely of royalty free rock and it's better than pretty much every racing game released after 2010.

I like Umek and Space 92, if I have the option to turn on/off songs this is the only thing i will listen to with 0 complains. Keep in mind this is fan made and mabey there are some tracks missing. Take it as it is with a grain of salt.

Or you can make a music mod pack like the guys at Unite mod did and replace the music to your liking. I'd be down for that, but I haven't gotten the game yet.

This was all about the launch and state of the soundtrack, not about mods. As a last resort effort this always works. Doesn't mean I have to like the soundtrack as it stands.

It's like saying a banana tastes kinda like a banana. Like ffs.
If you get it right in the first place, there is no need for a mod pack to begin with.

But that's out of the window already, so mods it is. Mods can take a lot of work and some conflict with online as well. Would be hilarious if you get banned, while using your ''custom'' sounds. I rather have a save and official dlc I gladly pay for. Best option for console players as well, wanting different music.

Smells like a delay would be the best. Thanks to all pre order idiots this is prob. out of the window as well - enjoy beta testing early. I highly doubt this will be mod friendly the first few days/weeks anyway. While everything regarding music might be subjective, the cut content online for now sucks incredible hard. That's a topic on it's own.

I fully understand what you're saying mate. I've been playing NFS games since 2005 and nothing will ever beat the soundtracks that BB released for those games. MW2012 and Hot Pursuit were decent too.
I don't think what the majority of us are after is ever going to happen.
There's this NFS streamer called KuruHS who was and is in direct contact with EA and Criterion Games. I'm pretty sure they've ignored most of his recommendations, one of them being the stupid-ahh soundtrack.
It is what it is and there's nothing we can do about it.

ummm......idk if your active or not but there is something need to tell to the nfs community there is a way to change the music using the frosty editor but let's say its long shot

Yes, i am with you all that this soundtrack is something other.
At first i just think whats the hell.
Now that i am almost half thought with the game i understand why somebody would make a track like that. It ok they make they musak, the musicians i mean. But why incorporate it tho this game? to be hip? To be inclusive with all the models of the player and the music?
But, this is the times. We live in a very, strange, time.
At least for so old people like me i think, ;-)
