Yeah, no, I refunded this mess. I'm not jumping through hoops for this.
Turn off the in game overlay in the EA app
After a few tries the EA Launcher would not load when you try to run NFS Unbound from Steam. To manually launch the launcher I ran:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EALauncher.exe
Once the EA launcher is up an running again:
EA Launcher -> Profile drop-down (top/right) -> Settings -> Application tab -> In-game overlay -> OFF
Tried this... did not help. Steam will open the EA launcher, and will try to load the game, but will instead "minimise" the launcher and "give up" on launching the game. So this does not work for me... :(
P.S. Had not played the game in at least 6 months, back then it worked just fine.
Launched directly from the EA launcher, clicked on the blue "play" icon and it failed to launch the game.
Then directly launched the game from the game folder:
Steam\steamapps\common\Excalibur\NeedForSpeedUnbound.exe
as admin under Windows 10 and that made not difference either. This opens the EA launcher but does not launch the game.
So... this does not work for me either.
