NFS Heat is better than Unbound
I tried this game, but my conclusion, after 1 hour, was that NFS Heat is still better and Unbound was not worth the discounted price. The only interesting feature of this game is that they introduced the little people on the street to make it more realistic and maybe there's 1-2 interesting songs, but there are several things that Unbound is worse than or has not improved over Heat

- There's still no 1st person view.
- Handling still feels unrealistic
- The car physics is still unrealistic
- I think the graphics are worse (how is this possible?)
- The animated approach to the characters was not a good idea. If you can have realistic scenes, why introduce animated characters? It makes no sense.
- I didn't feel involved like in Heat initially. Nothing really interesting at the beginning. Definitely, the story feels worse at the beginning.

I haven't tried all the events and other things that might exist in Unbound, but for me the most important thing in a game is the feel and Unbound in general doesn't feel better than Heat, which in my view is still the best NFS game I've played.

I hope that in the next NFS game they try to make the car physics and handling more realistic. It's time to upgrade and it's already quite late! It's also time to fully support the controllers, so that e.g. the controller vibrates when you brake, and that you're able to change the controller bindings. The 1st person view must also exist. The day/night thing in Heat was great. Why remove it? The problem with the NFS series is that games don't build upon previous games. I grew up with this series, so I wish just the best for this series, that's why I am proving this feedback. Hopefully, they take the more realistic step in the next game and build upon this feedback.

Understandable opinion, Heat did some things better than Unbound. Tho I enjoyed Unbound much more, I get your points. Lets just hope Criterion will do an amazing job on the next NfS.

HEAT was worse then UNBOUND is. Alone the boriness of HEAT..UNbound has almost 1 Update with change of new idea each Month..

I play Unbound till now for 2x the time i had played HEAT.. and i will still play it for about 200 hours i quess.

the game is pretty good compared to HEAT unless you are having issues for start crash the game very likely tends to have for certain people.

BTW after 1 hour you cannot fully understand it. i was negativ about UNBOUND firstly aswell.. but its great in comparing to HEAT. Also that you missed the whole passes you cannot see how much was changed from Day 1 to Year 2 by now. :Niko2:

The game has no apparent improvement over Heat. It's fine if you like Unbound, but Unbound doesn't feel better in any way and has worse graphics, so my conclusion is that it's worse. Heat might not have many events, but I don't really care about that. I don't buy games to play them for thousands of hours. I buy them to have some fun for a while. I didn't have any problem to launch Unbound, whose graphics look diluted. Heat was a lot more interesting in the first hour and was interesting for many more hours. I've played many hours of Heat. I actually think Heat is not boring at all. Maybe you've never played at night. The game will definitely not make you feel bored. I've also played the Underground 2 and Most Wanted and I still think Heat is the best NFS game I've ever played, despite not having the best soundtrack, which clearly goes to Underground 2.

Regarding NFS being arcade (whatever you want to mean by that), I've been playing this series since at least Underground 2 (maybe some of you were not even born) and probably even before. So, I think I know what I bought. People also call FH5 arcade but, nevertheless, it has a more realistic handling model and car physics.

i mean in my most honest opinion i loved heat but this one its pretty fun but yes they animated characters they could have done better on that. i had a had my good moments on unbound specially after they added the hot pursuit style game modes and drag, its been pretty good but they need to work on their drift events cuz on some i feel like there's two different drift events in the game that are very different from each other on how you drift.... very confusing. anyways i think both games are good but i wish people played the events more so i can race against people but instead they wanna do the hot zones

before the Vol. 7 update there were normal drift events for all cars, you just had to adjust your cars for more drift builds. When they added the drift pro tires and evetns, they kept the old "Drift events" in which you can use all cars you want and no drift pro tires required.

Heat is soooo much better than Unbound. I would argue that, at launch, Unbound was even worse than Payback or 2015.

i agree with this opinion, except for the bad graphics and physics part.

I think he means the OG from 2005 since he also mentioned Underground 2.
