If i was a portable gamer i would opt for the SteamOS. My deck is always docked and use it as a PC to do alot more that run games. I can do 3D modelling using Blender, run Fortnite +and other PC related tasks. i got it to replace my old PC and at the time the Steam Deck was the most affordable option of which i have had no issues other than NFS Unbound.
Also as a gamer who plays Rocket League, i` used to go thru at least 3 xbox controllers a year till the release of the Gamesir Anti drift controller. Even the Steam deck does not use magnetic Hall effect magnets for anti drift ( a very old technology that Dreamcast controllers had 20+ years ago), If the Steam Deck control sticks lost its play-ability it would be devastating as the whole deck would have to be sent away to be repaired.
Yep it sure is beefy runs my other games fine, Thxs i tried your suggestion run NFS Unbound.exe as admin, still comes up connection lost, I have never had an issue with any other games losing connection so it just weird, i checked forum, others have experienced this issue too, but seems to be no solution that works, having tried some.
I have not tried yet but i plan to see if i can install the Steam OS on an external SSD drive and see if it boots from there to try NFS Unbound. Appreciate your suggestion to run as admin, that was one i had not tried.
