how can i do it?

Alternatively, if you'd rather wait for a driver update from Nvidia, you can go to your Documents > Need for Speed Unbound > settings, open PROFILEOPTIONS_profile with Notepad, then change GstRender.upsampler to either 1 or 2. For whatever reason setting the upsampler to off (0) with the newest Nvidia drivers will cause the game to crash.

As an alternative to this...

Set your terrain to High, everything else can be ultra. I have been having this issue since launch. I am on a 4080 using frame gen DLSS etc, it always crashed. Setting the terrain to high *Seems* to have solved it.

Where can I set the terrain to high?

In the options menu, Set Graphics to custom, and then a list appears of all the settings.

Didn't set it to high but instead I set it to low. I managed to get in the game with windowed mode but it only gives me around 30 - 90 fps.

I have found another solution that has stopped all crashing for me.

********************************************
1. Set Terrain to high

2. Right Click on the Unbound.exe > Properties > Compatibility - Tick Disable Full Screen optimisations

3. As Above -- Right Click on the Unbound.exe > Properties > Compatibility - Click on Change High DPI Settings Button > Bottom Checkbox, Tick it "Override High DPI Scaling Behaviour" and from the drop down choose application.

Doing all of this has the made the game work without a single crash for me. Steps 2 - 3 are what stops Gotham Knights from crashing too. I am on WIN 11, but this could work for WIN 10 as well.

Doing all this, I can play the game full screen just fine, no crashes at all, in full screen ultra wide mode 3840X1600

I fixed my Directx crash by verifying game files, one file had to be reaquired.
After this I haven't had any crash.

Unfortunately it didn't manage to get me load into the game, unlike when I set the terrain to low which manages to get into half of the tutorial.

I read on another post to roll back the driver to 22.5.1, and my game is super stable now.
