How similar is it to heat's handling?
I'm tired of the car's unpredictability when it goes into "drift mode".
I deaccelerate slightly during a fast corner to not hit traffic and the car snaps into "drift mode" pulling a paul walker.
Mind you I have the brake to drift option and not tap gas to drift option.

In Unbound you can disable both, restricting the "drift mode" for the handbrake, but I still have my doubts even after watching gameplay.
I would try the game but the prologue lasts around 2h so i cant tune the handling my way and refund if I'm disappointed with it (not taking any chances it's EA)

So I'm asking your experience on it
I can ignore the SoundCloud soundtrack
I can ignore the Tumblr styled characters
I can ignore the goofy effects around me since i can only disable the ones in my car.
I can ignore the "bruhs"

But I can't ignore the only thing that makes a racing game good or bad:
the handling physics

Thanks, btw is it just me or is he gaining nos from doing a "grip turn"?

Yes, if grip turning didn't give you Burst NOS, drifters would have a massive unfair advantage.

I have hated the handling in recent NFS games with a passion. Pure disgust you could say.

Removing B2D, setting the steering to twitchy, and picking a car and setting good "grip" handling gets you over the line.

I am now braking, and holding a line through a corner and boosting out like the old NFS days. I was like you, scanning all the gameplay to watch someone take a corner properly.

Coming from a black box fan, you can have fun in this game. Its not quite black box, but a middle ground between black box and ghost. Enough to enjoy the game easily.

Relatable honestly

Btw what's "twitchy" steering?

it's even worse than heat tbh. heat was trash but somehow this is even worse. not sure what makes it worse but it is. maybe the ai is worse and handlign the same. nevertheless it's a absolute joke and insult to anyone with a brain.

its the same almost a strait copy and paste if you ask me
Steam game page
PC Experience says:

Boost your PC experience with Need for Speed Unbound:
Compatible with HDR10
Supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) capability for a smoother and more consistent picture and reduced screen tear
Supports DLSS rendering technology for higher frame rates and resolutions
Double the simulation rate of NFS Heat <- lol

Are you sure about that? There was an information that they’ve made handling more “realistic” cuz of new frostbite engine. Also they was able to double the simulation.
Trying to say that its now even worse than it appeared to be in Heat.

Im still waiting for the Comments on Handling in the game, jeez i hate criterion games for gs all cars handle more or less the same, Heat brake to drift i uninstalled after drifting mission! last decent handling was nfs 2015s and even payback was okay, I know if its criterion is gonna be brake to drift, like nfs hot pursuit feels like Asphalt mobile game!! I see more car guys and youtubers are into nfs heat how u guys enjoy this handling after playing games like forza TBH :lunar2019madpig:

waiting for comments on handling, Guess im not alone!

Twitchy, meaning the opposite of dead.
The ghost games had this thing where you would corner like a tank. I should have said steering sensitivity, but it does make the car twitchy as well.

So no steering deadzone

I gotta say it is quite fristrating at times (although i haven't tried with traction control ON). But it's git gud kinda frustration. It's very much possible to keep the car in check when it breaks out, just takes a lot of practice. Haven't won a single race in the first 3 hours i've played but now i manage. Alo maybe from the upgrades that improved the car. It's ok for me personally as it adds to the immersion of starting off as an amateur with a rustbucket. Still, to answer your question: It is VERY similar to Heat's handling model.
