DirectX Error

Can't play through the intro. It usualy crash at the same place when the game asks me to use my nitros. When i do the game crash. I've tried to verify the game, reinstall my gpu driver, repair some of my Microsoft Visual C++ files. look for windows updates. Anyone else got this same error?

CPU: 7900x
GPU: RTX 4080
32GB DDR5 6400MHz CL32 (even tried setting speed to 6000MHz, didnt help)

Monitor 3440x1440 200Hz. (ASUS PG35VQ)


UPDATED 29:11:2022 (22:21 UK Time) I found a way to fix the crash. Just played for 2 hours with no crash and no stutter. All i did was changing my monitor's resulotion in nvidia controll panel from ultrawide (3440x1440) to standard 1440p (2560x1440) and my game worked fine.

Would love to play ultrawide but for now i can't. Maybe a fix will come later

Still having the same Issue.

Tried all the troublshooting i can find and updated all drivers.
Crash happens after about 2 hours of playing

Thx. I think i fixed it. I have been playing for 3 hours now with 0 crashes.
What i did was download this here https://github.com/Octanium91/NFS_Heat_CPU_Load_FIX and delete the DX 12 files.

NFS Unbound is another payed beta! Glad I refunded it after first crashes... People, dont be fooled, refund this trash and never buy EA again.

I get what you are saying but if I leave out the crashes i had then the game is fun for me. I am having a blast playing it

Same here. Already into 30+ hrs and having a great time. Make sure PCdx12 files are deleted from Documents and Excaliber. Each time from documents before starting the game.

It's 100% ultrawide related, when it comes to 4000 series.
I bought this game on launch running it on a ultrawide monitor then upgraded from a 3090 to 4080. Ran into several issues thinking it was dx12 related but cruizermans fix helped immediately. Hoping this gets fixed swiftly.

Wiping cache and clean reinstalling of chipset and gpu drivers doesn't help.

It keeps happening to me as well. I have a RX 6900XT and Win 11. I've tried deleting the shared cache but it keeps failing after a few minutes. Impossible to play online

still having this issue with a 13900k / 4080 / and my AW3821DW (3840 x 1600). Very annoying. Cant get through the intro without a crash to desktop or Device Hung error.

Clean install of 22.11.1 version helps.
Its so ridiculous, cose 22.11.2 changelog contains records about Unbound optimization.
