Why use an anti-virus other than Windows defender in 2022?

got the same, followed the instructions and it deleted the exe rebooted then verified game files it reinstalled the exe then the game ran without issue.

You all need to educate yourselves. If you genuinely think Windows Defender is good enough, you've clearly never looked beyond a Reddit post. Go look at "The PC Security Channel" on YouTube. You'll see just how ♥♥♥♥ Windows Defender is, even with the settings set to anything but default.

Kaspersky happens to be one of the best consumer anti-virus software, again all backed up by thorough tests done by the YouTuber mentioned above. Good luck on your journey down the rabbit hole.
