Controller not registering

Tried every trick in the book. all the overlays on and off. Nothing lets my controller register inputs. Only showing keyboard inputs.

for me the inputs are just straight up wrong. Hitting the gas turns the camera to the left, pressing menu button hits the gas etc

Yep mine straight up doesnt work, only at the title screen and then nothing. Had to use my keyboard.... What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'launch' honestly. Bought Palace edition just to be beta testers

Guys i found a fix ! Plugging in my controller makes the controlls work just fine. It seems like wireless is just glitched at the moment

oh man lucky you. Mine straight up doesnt work even when wired. Starting the tutorial and the cam is just facing left..sigh

go into big picture mode and add your controller, that's what fixed mine bro

Well. Im not launching it through steam and big picture mode crashes to desktop. And it detects the controller already in big picture mode so I'm not even sure what you mean by "Add your controller"

Tried another game and my controller is fine, it's just not working with Unbound, the icons still remain as keyboard icons even when spamming my controller. Tried the thing you mentioned with big picture mode and still nothin. Reinstalling controller drivers and things are still the same...I'll just play old school until they patch this up

OH, thank you! totally forgot about that, just turned all the options for all the controls and it works now! :)

I finally fixed mine. Turns out that if you've got multiple input devices plugged in, the game gets confused. In my case, my sim racing wheel and pedals was connected. so the game decided that to be main controller instead (even tho its not supported). I had to turn them off for my controller to be recognised.

Bingo. Ripped a bunch of USBs out and now its registering.

Imagine paying 70€ for an EA game before release after all those years that they showed us how little they care

PS5 controller works when plugged with wire but button mapping is random and dont make any sense and theres no option to change. Xbox controller wireless doesnt work at all. Xbox controller plugged in works fine. Hopefully they will patch this on friday, when the game is supposed to come out properly.

Oh, I didnt pay EA anything. I paid Xbox a dollar. And I feel guilty even going that far.
