Integrated services aren't as easy as "just don't use the launcher". That trivialization would be similar to the way some people on the internet think that games are made "just copy paste the assets into a new engine".
How's about not antagonizing people?
You seem to be missing the point, even the games you mentioned have to talk home. Some games can get away with using a lite launcher or when its worth the investment a completely custom one. Just because you know a few game examples where someone put in the extra investment does not mean that is a smart investment for every game. The goal of company is to make money, not waste money on retooling. If you have a launcher that works for 99% of your games that is what you are going to use.
Let me simplify it. EA forces their users, to install their cancerous launcher, to launch their games, to launch on Steam (which is again, already a launcher), to be launched through their launcher. It's absolutely stupid.
Simple as that. It's been this way since BF3 came out, why are people surprised.
That's like people complaining about having to have the Rockstar Launcher for GTAV and RDR2. Seriously?
Also Origin is dead, replaced by the EA Games App
Which leads to the question why I have to install Origin when playing an EA game even though the EA Games App is already installed...
