*Starfield mentioned*
Where was he wrong? Not even Steam users rate it good.
On more serious note - Mortismal content sucks, his opinion was worthless 3 years ago, its even more worthless now.
People who dismiss reviewers that did not liked product they are obsessed with are a very sorry bunch.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
— George Carlin
If you go look at the biggest complaints about Starfield in the Steam reviews, it's just copy-paste nonsense from people who just parrot what Asmongold said in his 5 minute video or some ♥♥♥♥. Starfield isn't a great game, but it's definitely not a bad/trash game. It's a good game and that's actually good. Even going through the main story once, alone, more than justifies the price tag.
In any case, this is why you never buy week one. Let the YouTubers who didn't get early access codes play it and objectively review it free from panic over losing income.
- thats a cope, bro. Not to mention, that Crapfield is a product that was 8 years in the making and costed hundred of millions to develop. It is a product that has big money behind its back, not being a broken pile of thrash is not an achievement for such investment. In the end its just a standard Bethesda slop, devoid of any kind of creative thought and mainly being targeted at fanboys who will buy any crap with big enough promotional budget.
Easily.
In fairness we all thought that in beginning.
YouTube is already gushing with reviews and they're going about how you would expect: Being divided over political lines. There's a ton of ppl that want to see another giant dud like Concord appear and lose. Such people have high hopes for this game to be like that.
There's no need to wait a week, you can just watch the dozen or so reviews already out to make up your mind and choose to buy it this week if you want it. The culture war ppl have already made up their mind: they want to see another statistic to add to the litany.
Aside from I think ONE character design option on the menu, nobody has said much about the rest of it. It's not Concord, but we're living in the era of misinformation and if a group is hostile enough, they can attempt to convince people "game bad" by bombarding misinformation at the masses to steer it towards failure. And they're also getting paid really well by the mob that do nothing else but rage view media (with a serious helping of far right twists).
Funny how half of the criticism is for Starfield not being a standard Bethesday game, but the other half is for Starfield being a standard Bethesda slop. It's almost as if most of it is nonsense influenced by youtubers or perfectionist expectations.
Even so that still doesn't mean it's a trash or a bad game. That's the point you're missing. It's so trendy to exaggerate and catastrophize nowadays, it's like a drug. The dopamine from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on games hits better than actually playing games etc.
Same with Veilguard. I bet my money on it actually being a quite decent game. But watch it get review bombed and trashed because always online nolifers can never be satisfied by actually good games anymore. It's either perfection or trash. It's BG3 or it's a disaster. No middle ground. Complete brain rot
Mortismal seems odd...
He loves RPGs and the he says that the games story is bland and there no real choice and yet it's "the game of the year" for him? I love his reviews but it seems that he became unable to deal with his newfound fame and, sadly, became another sellout..
To add some context, he is usuall very critical when other RPGs have a weak story and offer littler no real choice.. and yet, is this game it's not a big deal? It's not that he said that is this game but the fact that he is ignoring something that he was very critical in the past..
