Literally tens of thousands of fans on this forum, youtube and anywhere else you can find footage of veilguard has fans caring and not agreeing with this
But you are right, if it is great for you, then it will be a bias for you will enjoy the game as well
Even 3 days before the release, by all this time since first trailer- I did not find any argument that would convince me that this is a Dragon Age game, or this is 18+(if not including one aspect of the game)
And guess who I trust even more. MYSELF when I play it for myself to decide.
Lol
Skillup is notoriously bought.
Too many “fans” now want the game to fail based on “insert whatever issue here” and are actively trying to rain on any excitement their fellow fans might have for this game because of their personal issues.
The entire culture war nonsense has been so blown out of proportion that we have people pointing and saying to every negative review that THEY ARE RIGHT! And every positive review as SEE? THEY ARE BOUGHT!
It’s so dishonest, overwrought, and emotional. Both sides. BOTH SIDES.
It’s like the pendulum has swung so hard to the right it smacked the sense out of everyone on that side.
Not really a problem, though. Just find someone who isn't a shill and recommends games you enjoy. It's not a popularity contest unless you let it be.
I don't like most of the stuff Skill Up highly recommends, for example. So I don't really put any weight behind his subjective opinions on a game.
It's troll farms man.
There's a clear agenda around injecting negativity and gender politics into forums that will allow it around every game's launch.
Like I get that some of it is kids/socially inept adults buying into clickbait grifters on YouTube/Twitch/Twitter, but this stuff is way too methodical and orchestrated across every single AAA title's launch to not be coordinated trolling.
There will always be a reaction to an action akin to your pendulum analogy. But you shouldn't keep harping on the fact about culture wars as the other 90% of issues brought up were not about the culture war/trans woke.
I agree that both sides have their extremists, but some of the youtubers are bringing up valid points in terms of fun, enjoyment and immersion. Which the extreme end that bought the game are defending to their graves just because they proclaim to be die hard fans.
Honestly, the stock I put in anti-woke gamebro's is zero. they had made their minds up before they'd played the game. If the reviews are talking about woke, instead of the actual quality and enjoyability of the game, I am not interested.
He's always just been entertainment value.
Ever since he got BTFO by Keighley I've not been able to take him seriously.
Watching how bad he is at games live on Twitch was a pretty big eye opener too.
This was very surprising to me. But I trust Mortismal.
He is THE reviewer to watch for CRPGs and RPGs in general.
A true hardcore gamer that 100%s everything and experiences everything a game has to offer, and gives a fair and complete opinion.
No other reviewer goes as in depth or covers as much content as Mortismal on any game he covers.
