I don't think you have the right to call things embarrassing when you and I are posting on the Veilguard Steam forum

Just wait until you find out this game is Anthem with Dragons.
Nemisus Oct 25, 2024 @ 8:44am
I actually really liked anthem played the heck out of it and loved the story idea of an ancient civilisation that utilised sound as a base for their technology.. Buuuuut apparently i was pretty alone in that thinking.. oh well it was fun while it lasted.. "Cries sad interceptor tears"

I've been a Bioware fan since Kotor, played every game of them since then. I found DA:I okay, not quite to my taste but solid enough. Thought ME:A was a misstep because the main studio was not working on it. But after Anthem? I bought the deluxe edition of that because the trust was still there, but that isn't the case anymore. Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me thrice... They have to regain that trust.

Damn, what we lost... back when gaming journalism wasn't filled with (mostly) talentless hacks and shills, you could actually read interesting stuff... forgot there was a time when Kotaku was actually fairly insightful.

I have to agree, it's embarrassing for you to be here.

Jack, on the other hand, is actually here for the game; this is the normal reason you'd expect people to post on Steam forums. Subtle difference to grasp, I know.
So sort of like when u came to the Unknown 9 Awakening forum to defend the game without buying it? because if so, then I guess we have more similarities then we do difference, my good friend! :happiestmask:

Babe, the few posts I have on the Unknown 9 forums are to laugh at the "we're doing a raid on the Veilguard forums" thread.

But please, show me when I've "defended" that game I don't know about in the little made up war happening in your head. I'd love to know what this imaginary me said.
According to your post history on the Unknown 9 Awakening forum, you said the following:

Babygirl, did you read the title of the thread ? I know reading is hard, but try ok ?
It was in "Alright boys, next meetup for Dragon Age Wokeguard ok ?".
I was inviting them to come here.

I've been shown this thread to laugh at the little boys believing they're soldiers, and couldn't resist making fun of them.

Now show me a post where I talk about Unknown 9 :bestbestbest: I'll wait.
Upon further looking at your post history, I admit I was wrong, and you were right. I'm sorry for falsely accusing you

https://kotaku.com/the-past-and-present-of-dragon-age-4-1833913351

Rumor among BioWare circles for the past year has been that Morrison is “Anthem with dragons”—a snarky label conveyed to me by several people—but a couple of current BioWare employees have waved me off that description.

current BioWare employees means the quote came from previous employees. Previous employees like Mike Laidlaw[en.wikipedia.org] who left when Dragon Age forked Anthem codebase.

You can cry all you want. The facts are simple. This game is based on the Anthem code base and that never changed, All they did was remove the multiplayer components so still same base game based on Anthem, so Anthem with Dragons. The live service angle has nothing to do with it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Age:_The_Veilguard

EA and BioWare decided to remove the planned multiplayer components from "Morrison" and to develop it as a single-player game only.[21]

You can cry all you want. It won't change the reality of what is going to happen and the reception of the game on release.

Just a few days before reality hits homes and it's going it's going to be quite the meme maker.

Gameplay was great actually, I had tons of fun with it. The mech suits and powers were very cool and flying about like iron man was epic.

BUT, the gameplay loop was just too shallow and there wasn't enough content or even meaningful loot. Everything looked the same.

The story premise, while intriguing, was incomplete and poorly written. Bioware failed at what was supposed to be their strongest selling card.

same. bioware/ea game. even rocksteady is sticking with suicide squad longer than they did with anthem
