Compiling shaders taking forever
Been compiling shaders for a while. This alone is taking up a lot of time in my 2 hours of play time if I come across crashes.
I haven't even made it to the menu section to adjust graphics yet!
So far terrible job.
Game is installed on ssd.

It's CPU dependent. It took me 20 minutes on my paltry Ryzen 2600. Others report just a couple of minutes on very high end CPUs with a ton of cache. On the bright side, when it launches in the future after that initial compilation, even on my aging and increasingly woefully insufficient CPU (upgrading soon, thankfully) the shader verification is quick.

Okay. Thank you for the response. My i7 10700f is a little dated i know but I kind of expected more from the developer but I guess that's on me. Appreciate you.

On the plus side, the pre-compilation does at least mean no compile stutter. Locked to 60 fps on my aging potato, optimization is surprisingly good (RTX 2070.)

Unfortunately it does not seem to be getting faster for me. Luckily it is not a game breaker, just a slight annoyance.
