I mean their difficulty settings seem really customizable. You can adjust things like enemy aggression, parry/dodge timing, attack speed, damage, HP etc. I imagine you can probably make a pretty difficult experience if you wanted to.
And obviously if you play on normal or story mode (which Skill Up did and he thought the combat was too easy) then you'll probably have a boring time if you have the skill and ability to play on a harder difficulty but the only thing turning you off is inflated HP which you can customize. ^^
Also yea, mage seems to have a really hard time early game from what I've heard too since SO much enemy aggression is focused on you before you can have warrior companions or more abilities to deal with it. But then gets really strong later!
