How does it hurt you?
What does it hurt your game that I can play with a character that represents me, while you can create another one with a beard, a mustache, a mohawk and an eye patch. I don't understand it (or rather I do) and it has a name and an accurate definition.

It doesn't. Not one iota. And before anyone says anything about scars and magic... I've been able to create characters with scars on their faces in fantasy games that also have magical healing since character creation in video games existed, practically.

I wonder, if you're a man in a girl's body would you play as a girl or a man with chopped off tits scars?

But what interferes with your game or role, that I can have a character with a scar on his chest, I still don't understand it, anyway, thanks for your attempt at an answer.

It's what the game is for after all.
I'm not about any other options (inclusivity) but i'm happy that some people can use them.

a pretty sensible answer

They're just old and upset because they feel like they didn't have the same choices and support when they were young. They're really just mad at their parents for not giving them unconditional love, so now they have to keep pretending to be who they think they are the rest of their lives.

We got a Life is Strange game instead of a Dragon Age game. Hell, Life is Strange branches off more with choices and consequences than this game ever will.

Why did they make the game just for me, when you can have any character you want? If this is the level of answers, I think I'll leave it here...

People have the right to complain about diversity and inclusive as much as some try to talk in favor of it. Why are you being hurt by people complaining about something?

In my opinion things like surgery scars and such are not for me. Hiding a character cause they're trans? nonbinary? I think that's weird, but we all know they're trying to avoid as much backlash as possible, but instead it does the exact opposite cause why do you need to hide something. They're pretty afraid of this minor group of people that are against these things being added to video games. My personal opinion is I don't care too much if it's there and not in my face, but if it becomes right left and center then it could become a reason I just avoid a game entirely.

It is so far from what the DA series was and never should be.. there already was a working formula.. this is not taken to the extreme .. .and sales will end up reflecting that.

So the game forces you to make and play as a character you dont want to ?

Exactly the problem: The second part of your statement is false.
No i can't create the character i would be happy with, a lot of women can't create the character that represents them. Similar for a few other things in the game where YOU get want YOU want but a lot others don't or can't avoid what they don't want.
No one is hurt because you are happy. They are hurt because they can't do the same and see that inequality.

It hurts me!!! OMG, but I'm here posting precisely so that you can create the character you want. What I don't understand is precisely why it bothers you that I have such a simple option that doesn't affect you at all.

It doesn't hurt me as much as it will hurt EA and Bioware. EA for flushing down an easy 100mil down the toilet, and Bioware for the inevitable closure.

Not everything is about you guys. While there may be some who hate for the sake of it, there are also others with valid criticism about Bioware's subpar, inoffensive, soft-washed writing and a lack of player agency, one of the things that made their games great in the past.

BG3 is also a 'woke' game, but the difference lies in the ability to react to positively or negatively to such themes and characters. Bioware tries so hard to be inoffensive (also with choice and consequence) in their latest games, but it just comes across as bland.

Pronouns and surgery scars should not be in a fantasy game. The people of Thedas are very busy with darkspawn, dragons, etc. to care about any of this things. Real world issues should not be in a fantasy game.

And what does it matter in writing whether or not I have a certain scar in a certain place? You are mixing concepts to try to justify certain retrograde actions and that is described as: “Logical Fallacies”
