There's only a couple of keyboard keys that are used (there's no mouse). If you have something like an x-box or steam controller you can map those through steam.

agreed OP, needs mouse and controller support, also think it should have adjustable resolution/aspect ratio at minimum, instead of screen size with borders, or stretched images.

it looks fun and i could likely deal with the annoying graphics setting issue, but keyboard only... i dont think my wrists will approve.

FYI there aren't many controls it only took me a few minutes to map my controller that's how i've been playing. and there are resolution settings i'm playing on my 1440p monitor and it looks good

Limited mouse support and controller support are on my list. I will post a big update when they are ready. I do have doubts as to whether my controller scheme will be better than Steam mapping system, but I will give it a whirl.

steams controller support is a 50/50 at best, to get it working on games, thats one reason why most ask for controller support.

For a game like this that has no mouse support, you can simply assign keyboard keys to controller buttons and make that work just fine. I did it and ran into no issues. If a rando like me can make it work, I'm sure a game developer could do it no problem.

I don't see any reason why a recommended steam controller profile couldn't be put up, and the game will automatically detect and use it, and if people want to remap it they can.

*any* keyboard buttons can be mapped to the controller. You can figure out the desired mapping layout yourself, that's something that will be individual preference. But for a standard Xbox/PS4/PS5/Switch pro controller you have enough buttons.

I prefer the software shipped with my controller, because it lets me map buttons to the 2 back pedals I got, and I can't do that with steam.

Try it with the free demo before making any purchase.

Mapping keyboard keys to controller buttons isn't anything new, people were doing it in 1995.

I think using Steam's built-in controller support would work just fine, as long as all of the game's functions are mappable. Sometimes developers forget minor but important assignments like being able to use the d-pad in menus and the inventory.

I am playing around with the Steam input thing and it seems pretty easy to use, but a bit confusing at first. I will see if I can upload a template for anyone to use in the meantime until I add direct support.

Yeah this game is very easy to set up using either Steam's remapper or an external app like JoyToKey.

There is no analog joystick input which makes the controls work perfectly on a controller even though there is no native support.
