it looks fun and i could likely deal with the annoying graphics setting issue, but keyboard only... i dont think my wrists will approve.
steams controller support is a 50/50 at best, to get it working on games, thats one reason why most ask for controller support.
For a game like this that has no mouse support, you can simply assign keyboard keys to controller buttons and make that work just fine. I did it and ran into no issues. If a rando like me can make it work, I'm sure a game developer could do it no problem.
I don't see any reason why a recommended steam controller profile couldn't be put up, and the game will automatically detect and use it, and if people want to remap it they can.
ya, i have a ps5 controller i use for certain types games.
im assuming just action buttons? how was movement?
*any* keyboard buttons can be mapped to the controller. You can figure out the desired mapping layout yourself, that's something that will be individual preference. But for a standard Xbox/PS4/PS5/Switch pro controller you have enough buttons.
I prefer the software shipped with my controller, because it lets me map buttons to the 2 back pedals I got, and I can't do that with steam.
i meant how was the movement, not that you can assign those keys, sorry.. i guess i didnt clarify.
There is no analog joystick input which makes the controls work perfectly on a controller even though there is no native support.
