I loved it, but I don't think it's for everyone.

The art is very unique and beautiful. The story is pretty good and strongly inspired by folklore. The writing is also really good and there's a lot of funny moments (also a lot of creepy ones). The problem is the gameplay. It's more of a huge fetch quest than a "making potion simulator". You never get upgrades so even the most basic stuff can take a while to get. You might need to go fetch a bunch of stuff to make x to make y then finally to make z and all of those will be in different areas.

Spoiler for the end: The last 4 souls are pretty much just a "make the toughest stuff you had to make again". It's weird because the other souls all had something new and unique you had to make, but those are just more or less the same recipe again.

Wytchwood is such a charming little game. If you like crafting games with a fairytale vibe, this is a good choice.
