Is RoR too hard ?

I'm envoying Realms of Ruins a lot and I'm just a few chapters into the campaign. but hey...I really lag in this game : is it too hard ?

I started playing Veteran level and past the first chapters, I just could not get through all the enemy waves. I reduced the difficulty to Warrior level but I don't really notice any difference...I'm just getting constantly overwhelmed, to the point that I just barely have time to use abilities of my troops, or micromanage them, or just make groups of units !
I'm just running from one point to the other until my army crumbles from attrition.

Is it me or this game is really (too) hard ?

You are on which campaign level if I can help?

It takes me usually two try to do a mission. First to understand the specific, and second with a more proper plan.

So it's hard, but doable.

Normal mode is weird, the enemy cheats way too hard and spawns a silly amount of units. But on Easy it becomes a cake walk. They need to tune campaign difficulty.
