This looks surprisingly good!
Ive kind of filtered this out, dunno why really because i do enjoy the AoS setting.

Watched some gameplay this week and was really surprised at how good and fun it looks! Please tell me there will eventually be a focus on multiplayer? Im not a competitive player but would love to see a well crowded community online for this.

And from the demo, superb voices!

And how did you come up to what the game is worth?

Quite easily. £60 is the general price of AAA games in this day and age, think Call of Duty, Starfield, Battlefield etc. This is by no means a AAA game so why is it priced so?

Warhammer Total War has more content than this game and is cheaper to purchase. This game has what they call a "Cinematic" campaign, Map editor, livery and online pvp. But only has 4 armies with minimal options to choose from in terms of what units you want to use, as well as only a handful of units total on screen for a skirmish, which I can handle I don't mind small skirmishes as if I wanted mass scale war I'd jump on Total War. However this games combat, ui, movement and controls are nothing short of clunky and this was clearly designs for console players.

I played the Open Beta and wasn't impressed, graphically it looks good but it doesn't know what it's trying to be, It's like a moba, tower defence RTS style game all rolled into one clunky mess.

I even tried the updated version at their live event and again was not impressed. I am desperate for a good Age of Sigmar game that's successful so more get made and other devs jump on board. But sadly this will flop, cause the devs haven't listened as per usual and I'll be seeing this in the steam sale / reduced price in due time. I'd be willing to bet money that the "online" pvp part of this game becomes dead very very soon after launch, It'll have it's honeymoon phase and then people will get bored and move on.

That had a good opportunity to make this 1 of the best warhammer games out there, but it is not. Also It launches in November with a £60 price tag when CoD Launches in November at the same price, if you think this game will even sell a quarter of what CoD does then you're just delusional.

That is how I came up with what a game is worth. This is at best a AA game and due to the content on the game at launch is worth no more than £40 tops and even that's pushing it. The fact It is £60 and will have extra DLC on launch for extra £££ is laughable.

Good reply, even if I dont agree with all I do agree with some (maybe, have not played myself yet, hoping the demo drops soon!). And well written.

But overall prices has risen for many years now and most AAA games today cost more than 60. Sadly overall quality and content has declined at the same time, but something wrong across the industry cannot be laid on any single developer.

Warhammer Total War has been out for many years, dropped several DLCs that some with questionable cost, and not least have gone through THREE FULL GAME RELEASES at their premium cost those years.
Ive only played the first of these, and I have enjoyed it a lot and agree that even the vanilla first game does offer a huge amount of content. I gladly paid its cost and gotten it back. But still, many years and three full games. I wonder if each of those justified paying the full price asked for another game, new but similar?

As for this game. I am worried it will offer too little content and much to repetitive gameplay. Developing for consoles does make me shudder a bit as it never ends up well for the PC player. And as for console players, RTS isnt really a big thing on consoles and never will be, despite how much they wish to be the "next big thing".
This IS concern for the price, but not enough that I will dismiss anything. As said before, 60 is not a premium price today for a licensed game from a well known studio.

I am unsure if I will pay full price for this or wait for sale or look for a cheaper key, testing the demo will decide that for me, but whatever the case I really hope this one does well.

Just to be absolutely clear on this subject and to stop misinformation being spread, regardless of thoughts on price etc, the game is NOT £60, the standard edition is £49.99

That is true, but its €59,99 and I assume $59,99 as well.

So for someone not paying in pounds, I can definitely say its a 60 game.

Of course, but with exchange rates, £49.99 is the equivalent to $60 or 60 euros. £60 would actually be closer to $74, so I just wanted to make it clear that the price being quoted was incorrect, because it was being discussed in pounds rather than dollars or Euros.

In terms of the game itself and the reasons why we think it is worth £49.99, we have the Cinematic Campaign, written by a black Library author.

We also have Conquest mode, which is procedurally generated and allows for endless replayability, along with the opportunity to challenge friends to beat your scores,

Casual 1v1 and 2v2 multiplayer modes. Ranked 1v1 mode as well as a spectator mode and the ability to play alongside or against AI characters.

We also have the Army Livery, allowing you to create your own unique paint scheme using Games Workshop colours, Map editor (the same map editor that we used to create the maps in game), allowing you to create and share your own creations, leading to the possibility of all kinds of new game modes and styles as well as new maps, plus we have the Scene editor, which will allow you to create dioramas using any of the assets in game.

We feel as though those features will give you many, many hours of enjoyment and we hope that once you've also had the chance to play the game, that you'll agree

Agreed.
However, there are those with a seemingly unending stream of disposable income who'll happily part with whatever these folk demand, foolhardy as that is. I can afford it easily, but I will not support bad pricing policy.

I have two concerns one is this going to be popular enough for game designers to continue it after release. I have been a Warhammer fan for nearly 40 years since I was teenager yes I am in my 50s.

I am old school meaning old world before they destroyed the planet how can you interest me in the AOS setting.

The reason why I asked the first question you are not first company to do this there it's in my library and had the same problem it's a lot of money to take a chance Steam players are really fickle these days.

I cannot say how much they will support it after release, I assume it will come down to how popular it becomes. AoS, like it or not, as a tabletop game is very popular but in the end it comes down to if the game is good or not.

As for how to make you interested. From one old world fan to another, at least this is something new, fresh and really out there. This is not "fantasy" but over the top "mythology" as in Norse or Greek level of insanity.
It can surprise you, sometimes in positive ways and sometimes in negative ways but its an unpredictable setting, which is not something we can say for Old World or 40k which today is so overly exploited there is nothing left to tend to curiosity.

Thanks I have my eye on it on my wishlist.

An RTS that plays well in this day and age is rare enough, much less one that takes place in an awesome universe with what seems like a decent story with good voice acting. If you don't want to part with your $$$ on something like this then fine go play CoD with the same tired game play.

Personally I really like the mash up of RTS and MOBA. It's like a MOBA that actually takes skill ;)
