But I would definitely prefer, instead of endless DLC tide, the developers would immediately start working on Realms of Ruin 2. With the following features:
a). Greater scale of battles. Like Dawn of War 1 is larger than Dawn of War 2. This includes more units, like flyers and cavalry, as well as the next tier of giant monsters (and possibly Gods).
b). So that there really are Mortal RealmS in the game. Many, not just one, preferably all eight, or even nine. Or more!
I feel that the Lumineth Realm-lords would be a prime DLC choice, due to the popularity of Elves / Aelves. Skaven or Beasts of Chaos could follow, perhaps.
Skaven and Beasts of Chaos are the least likely. Rumors/speculation suggest that these factions could be the main enemies in the 4th Edition of Age of Sigmar next year. One way or another, they are in for a serious redesign as the Cities of Sigmar now, to be significantly different from the Old World.
Lumineth still don't have two Temples — Zenith and the River (and many units), so for the "elven faction" I would suggest the Sylvaneth as a stylish and balanced army.
While true, there are Gnashtoof packs in the first mission. This means that campaign-specific units exist. As such, the Ogroid Thaumaturge you're referring to does not necessarily mean anything.
To counter, I'll point out that the cinematic at the end of the third mission has the Stormcast about to remove a relic that's sealing something. What's it sealing? Well, take a look at the background, it's full of petrified Nurgle growths. Combine that with the standard faction that GW puts in EVERYTHING...
Slaves for me. I probably will hold out until I see a yes or no on slaves to darkness being added in. Who doesn't love archaon...
