I remember when I had a Quad UWHD monitor.
What a pain.
There's a reason I didn't get another one and probably the same reason you should look at maybe getting a monitor that has normal dimensions for your next gaming monitor.
Hint: "gaming".
It's good for work tho. I'm not going to leave a negative review but it does make my game's resolution fuzzy.
thanks ill look into this!
Ahh, work/play computer. Makes sense then.
My bad.
Carry on, soldier.
Correct. I did change the resolution via ini found here: AppData\Local\Homeworld3\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
So if anyone has this issue it can be fixed
That's fair. I had mine for around almost a year, and once the novelty wore off, it became hard to use for me in most games due to the FOV. Too close, and it felt incredibly cropped, while to far and it introduced fish-eye distortion. Finding the sweet spot in games took a lot of work, and for some games, there just was no sweet spot.
RTS games were great, though. So was my production and editing work. I'd definitely get a G9 again for a work only set up.
I moved to a 21:9 G8 OLED for gaming, and I haven't looked back since.
unlucky!
