Crazy Machines 2 Feature Request and Bug Fix Request Thread

This thread is intended to discuss issues that you may think needs fixing or features that you would like to see in a future update of the software. Nothing is off limits here but please keep the discussion civil and on topic! Once I have enough of these , I will pass them onto my QA Team and they will review your suggestions and thoughts.

Okay. I'll start.

Level 4-10 of the World Tour - Pharaoh's shoe - using the 'reveal' cheat, after the box gets hit by the barrel, part of the box remains there, stopping the barrel (and later the basketball) from going down and hitting the dominoes. By adjusting the spring, lug wheel and paddle wheel I can sometimes get the barrel to go down, and even the barrel and basketball go down, but can't get the basketball to go far enough to hit the domino.

I have a GTX 650 with driver 344.11
On Level 1-2 of Liquid Lab - 2 problems - firstly, the cardan shaft isn't long enough to go where it's supposed to. The only way to get it there is the 'reveal' cheat. Using the reveal cheat, the teapot falls horizontally and gets stuck between the belt and wooden peg and the level can't be completed.
So... here's a rather long list of some stuff (IDK if you've patched any of this yet or not, though.) A lot of the DLC parts aren't properly sorted in the level editor selection area and are just dumped in the first section (for example, all of the Mine DLC parts are putthere) This makes it rather a pain to click through to reach the stuff in the back of the list. When going to look for player levels, the levels are shown alphabetically by default, which is rather pointless; showing newest levels first would make much more sense. This could be hard to implement, but custom level packs should list what DLC's they contain so that players can know if they are able to download them or not; at the very least, the game could automatically add a list of the DLC's used in a level pack to the level pack's description. A really annoying bug is that the Factory fan decorative part's sound effect becomes "stuck" and continues to play after exiting the level; to make it stop I must quit the game (I have a Windows 7 laptop with an i5 CPU and a GeForce GT 555M GPU, if that's helpful, but I remember seeing this happen on other computers too). Even though the sound effect gets stuck, the sound's intensity varies directly upon how much I have zoomed into an experiment if I go to another level after the glitch starts. Some other things: the Mine level has no music. I know it's probably hard to make a new music track, but I really would appreciate something (or at the very least, cannibalize the music from another world in this game, haha.) Another minor gripe is that reflective objects (most obviously the Balloon and Mine DLC gems) have the Factory's skybox as their reflection map, regardless of the world being played. Another glitch is that moving my cursor around during the start-up prerendered cutscenes and loading screen can cause my mouse cursor to become "desynched", meaning that, when I click, the effect of my click is displaced from where my screwdriver cursor actually is and I must restart the game to fix it. And, another minor gripe is that, when ctrl-V'ing things to copy them in the level editor, if the object(s) being copied are far away from where your cursor is when you copy them, the objects will stay at that distance relative to the cursor, making it hard to move said copied objects to the other side of the screen. Also, if I can really ask for anything, then I think it would be cool if you could add motion blur like there is in Crazy Machines Elements, and it would be nice if some certain background objects (such as the skybox in the Space world and the trees in the Garden world) could be improved, as their textures are currently not that good. My Suggestions

1. Fixes to the way experiments end.
It really is annoying that after a successful attempt at an experiment- you have to go back to the menu and select the experiment again- loosing any progress you had made. I think that if you earn a bronze or silver medal- there should be a "return to experiment" button on the score tally screen. A more clean way to fix this is make it so there's an "End" button that shows up after a successful attempt- but you have to click it to fully end the experiment- and go to the score tally screen. Fairly often I would continue messing around with the elements if I had the opportunity- even if I actually already figured out how to complete the primary goal. I would want to try to accomplish the secondary goals too- but the current way the game handles this is counterproductive toward that.

2. Fix the game's install scripts.
If you install the game and you already have a newer version of Visual C++ or PhysX installed- the installer for both Visual C++ and PhysX will run. VCredist will actually come up and tell you it's already installed- and the PhysX installer will run- but immediately close- after all that. THEN the game will start. It's annoying.

3. Figure out the Windows 7 crap.
A lot of people have problems running the game on Windows 7. This is 2015, nobody has Vista or XP anymore. While I haven't ran into these issues myself, it's clearly a problem for many people. 4. Steam overlay support.
I can't seem to get the overlay working in this game. It clearly runs in a Direct X environment- so I don't get why the overlay isn't showing up. I haven't had issues with the overlay in any other games- so this might be something to look into.

I've been able to get the game to work in Windows 7, did take a few attempts though (worked after I verified the local files and it downloaded 1 missign file). It also seems like the Steam Overlay is part of the problem with the crashes (looking at the crash reports showing gameoverlay.exe as part of the APPCRASH respot) I think my biggest issue is cluttered menus and unintuitive way you maintain Profiles. Having to navigate through 4 screens to leave the game and then the fact that the edit profile is a tab in the Settings versus a button on the main menu seems very old school.

Also I don't know if it's a bug or something intentional but if you are at the main menu/screen and click on the light switch to the left of the desk by the door the WHOLE perspective shift left.
Don't know if you still want these, but another physics related issue.

In level 1 of Happy New Year I think the champagne cork is supposed to hit the weight, but it doesn't. The reveal cheat also doesn't finish the level because of this problem.

I've encountered one of those bugd with physics.
In Back to the shop DLC level 5-4 - Steam bath - the baeball stuck in the bucet after poping the baloon. Playing the construction plan wont finish the stage.

I'm usung win 8.1 pro 64bit
CPU: i5-3570
GPU: GTX 760 with drivers 350.12
World Tour, level 1-4. Even after using Reveal, the wagon wheel never rolls on the second ramp. PhysX is up to date.

World Tour, level 1-7. The first two barrels are supposed to fall to the right, the third one is supposed to fall to the left. Instead, the first two fall left, and the third falls to the right. This makes it impossible to get all the barrels into the zone in the order that the experiment requires.

Also, I can confirm what [MLKM] Shrike says above. I had the exact same problem that he describes with 1-4. The wagon wheel just comes to a dead stop, instead of rolling down the second ramp, making the puzzle impossible to solve.

My Ideas for a future update.

1. I would fix the profile loading problem, because i have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete out of the game, but i end up getting the black screen and have to restart or shut down my computer to solve the problem, Maybe it's the DLC.

2. I would like to see a track all parts feature, So i can see the parts in sequences.

Nvidia Fluid Add-On, level 1-2 seriously? The axles are to far away to connect with the cardan shaft? Please fix fast. If I find more, I will add more of course, I think there's a lot to fix. Is the second Download level included and if it is, when is it unlocked? And german translation have to be fixed, too. Nvidia Physix Lab, still says Ageia Physix Lab.
Hi, In world tour 14-5, i got silver the first time and now, when i get the gold reward, it doesn't update, so i can't unlock chapter 15. Please help me.
