If the uninstaller works the way it should, it would not have told you "A newer version of PhysX has been found".

It IS possible for the Uninstall data to be corrupted so that the Uninstall does not work. If that happens, then you have to RE-INSTALL the most recent NVidia drivers (which should fix the uninstall data). Once that's done, you should be able to UNINSTALL the PhysX drivers using the steps below, and install the PhysX drivers that come with the game. (I know, it's frustrating to have to re-install something so that you can uninstall something.)

To uninstall the old drivers:
1. Click on Settings
2. Click on System
3. Click on Apps & Features
4. Find NVidia PhysX and click on it. You will see two buttons: "Modify" and "Uninstall".
5. Click on UNINSTALL. This deletes all new versions of PhysX from the computer.
6. Install the version of PhysX that came with the game.

Gravity doesn't work at my computer. I reinstalled physx and i also installed a XP-Version as VM and installed steam and cm2 there.. in my vm cm won't start.

I don't think CM2 will support a VM due to the lack of hardware support from within the sandbox.

Ok. But anyway, gravity won't work at my win10. Are there any other possibilties beside reinstall Physik?

Crazy Machines 10 is not officially supported on Windows 10 so there is very little that can be done at this point.

I'm running it on Windows 10 just fine... except for the problems with broken experiments in the Back to the Shop and Liquid Lab DLC that require unorthodox and unintended solutions. For example, in Back to the Shop 1-1 (Rollin' Rollin' Rollin') you have to place the teleporter on its left side so that the truck falls into it instead of rolling onto it (as intended). Otherwise it runs out of momentum and never travels far enough to reach the pressure switch that disables the force field preventing the bottom robot from pushing the light to the flower.

(Now I'm trying to figure out how to solve 1-2, because the bowling pin does knock over the domino, but the paddle wheel MISSES the second domino, so the experiment can't proceed any further.)

I got the problem with 3 Programm That I needed to fix beacuase ive got an CD (from 2016) Installed on my PC Crazy Mahienes completion work smoothlie withot crashes but for steam you need unstall Physx, OpenAl and the windows Redistributable (both versions 86x and 64x) and it worked and the competiliete mode for cm2.exe work by me with XP Service Pack 1 work fine without craches (sorry bad English im German) I hope it helps a lot

The CD version may present problems due to the Solid Shield copy protection in place. We don't use that on our Steam version.

For any physX problem uninstall the current version you have and install the
PhysX_9.09.1112.exe from 1.05 ver of CM2.To win10 now the game works perfect

The problem is not in Windows 10, but in the PhysX kernel version. Here is the instruction how to solve the problem of the health of the game, this should roll back the version of PhysX to version PhysX_9.09.1112, it PhysX, not the graphics driver.

1. First, update to the latest driver for your graphics card.
2. Next, open "My computer" and go to the root of the system drive
3. At the top right in the search form, enter the word without quotes "physx", waiting until the search is completed
4. Select all found files and delete, if among these files there is an installer Physx 9.13.1220(it can be in the folder of the library STEAM or games, if they are on the system drive were previously installed), then it can not be removed.

Checked on two different computers. Everything Worked as it should!
The only thing but this is that if you update after that the driver of the graphics card, updated and physx and again return problems with physx in the game and have to repeat all over again.
Still there can be problems in games that use a later version kernel of PhysX.

By the way the crankshaft in the second objective of pack Agea liquid laboratory still not connects the pulleys, apparently it's a glitch in the pack.

Дело не в Windows 10, а в версии ядра PhysX. Вот инструкция как решить проблему работоспособности игры, для этого надо откатить версию физикса до версии PhysX_9.09.1112, именно физикса, не драйвера видеокарты.

1. Сперва обновите до последней версии драйвера своей видеокарты.
2. Далее открываем "Мой компьютер" и заходим в корень системного диска(в моём случае это диск С)
3. Справа вверху в форме поиска вводим слово без кавычек "physx", ждём пока завершиться поиск
4. Выделяем все найденные файлы и удаляем, если среди этих файлов есть есть установщик Physx 9.13.1220(он может быть в папке библиотеки STEAM или игры, если они на системном диске были ранее установлены), то его можно не удалять.
5. Далее нажимаем комбинацию клавиш WIN+R и в поле поиска вводим слово regedit и жмём клавишу ENTER
6. Затем, в редакторе реестра выделяем слово "Компьютер" и нажимаем комбинацию клавиш CTRL+F. В поле поиска вводим слово physx и жмём поиск, удаляем первую найденную запись.
7. Необходимо найти и удалить почти все записи физикса в реестре. Для этого нажимаем клавишу F3(найти далее) и всё, что находим, удаляем. Обращайте внимание на пути и названия папок. Если запись находится по пути какого-либо не Nwidia приложения(у меня, например, куча записей были в папке 3Dmax), то её удалять не надо, снова жмём F3 и ищем следующие записи. Процесс может занять до одного часа. Выполняем поиск до тех пор, пока не выскочит сообщение, что поиск в реестре завершён. Закрываем редактор реестра.
8. Скачиваем и запускаем PhysX_9.09.1112_SystemSoftware.exe и устанавливаем физикс.
9. Запускаем игру и наслаждаемся адекватно работающей физикой. Кстати, чтобы попасть в пак уровней физикса в игре(если у вас видеокарта от нвидии), заходим в панель управления Nwidia и в пункте управления физикса устройство Physx выбирае свою видеокарту.

Проверил на двух разных компах. Всё Заработало как надо!
Единственное но это то, что если обновить после этого драйвер видеокарты, обновится и физикс и опять вернутся проблемы с физикой в игре и придётся повторять всё по новой.
Ещё могут быть проблемы у игр которые используют ядро более поздней версии физикса.

Кстати коленвал во второй задаче пака Agea liquid laboratory по прежнему не соединяет шкивы, видимо это глюк самого пака.
Ещё маленький лайвхак для тех у кого вылетает игра в паке Back to the shop, чтобы это не происходило и не отключать юбилейный пак, я перенёс все аддоны в русскую версию игры(Заработало 2!) Можно на любую другого региона, но важно чтоб версия игры была ver 1.04, В этой версии при наличии всех аддонов вылеты не происходят, по крайней мере у меня.

The sound issues may be resolved by installing a certain version of the Visual Run Time. I'm not 100% sure what it is. But I've seen that issue. Because this game was developed before Win 8 and 10 there may be incompatibillites.

Thanks for the reply. I tried everything to make sound work including installing virtual machines, running the game on Linux etc. However, to this date I did not verify the integrity of local files (I downloaded the game through Steam so I assumed everything to be correct). After running an integrity check for the local files and having 4 files replaced, the VDF scripts ran again (as if a first time installation) and I was prompted to install another Visual Run Time edition which failed as my system has a newer one. Now I am asked for Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable Setup everytime I launch the game.

When I launched the game a little later I noticed to my surprise that sound was working. My sound card is Realtek and on device manager there is NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device which is disabled. My sample rate and bit depth are set to 24bit at 44100 Hz.

I hope this helps someone having similar issues.
