Fullscreen F11 (game mode) doesn't work well? Please help
Hi, I'm just now going over the tutorials listed in the official tutorial playlist

In the second video, they say to press F11 to go to switch to the game. This works, but in the video it looks like it switches to fullscreen for the filmer. For me, this switches to a windowed 720p game. I've gone through the options, and set it to be in fullscreen 1080p. This is what causes a lot of issues. Pressing F11 doesn't switch back and forth the same way after that. Is something different being done in the tutorial video? Is it some editing wizardry? Is this working as intended?

Can anyone with more experience using the program let me know what's going on?
How does this aspect of the program work? (Are these limitations or bugs or errors? Is there a workaround?)

I'm having this same problem. Have you found a solution yet? I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it.

I dunno why it seems to go into fullscreen in the tutorials, but it's perfectly normal for it to open in a separate window for you, that's how it works for all of us. F11 should work to toggle it off, although sometimes it's a bit unresponsive and I have to hit it twice.

F11 works fine for me. I believe my sfm used to show game mode in fullscreen, but now it's windowed and the window is too big even though it's in 720p. Looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/Bhk0ydu.jpg
If I change the gamemode to fullscreen in the options it'll go fullscreen, but when I switch back everything is all glitched out. If I change the gamemodes windowed resolution it'll freeze and I end up having to restart sfm.

Oh. Well I... guess that's why the system requirements list a 1366 x 768 monitor, huh...

Not like game mode is all that important though, you'll do yourself a favor by using it as little as possible.

Well, glad my monitor is 1080p.

New to sfm and following the video tutorials. Working with cameras and gamemode right now, but may skip the gamemode part since it's not too important apparently.
