How Do I Add Custom Sounds?
Hey everyone,

I've googled it, done what the Steam User Forums have told me to do, and my audio is still not working. I have converted my audio to 44,100 like the website tells me to, and I've done what the YouTube Link has told me. I am still getting the exact same problem that I was getting at the beginning of this. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do at this point?

Here is the Steam Forum Link: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2793218

Here is the YouTube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma-yG8Meq14

If someone could help me that would be really great as in order to complete my video, I kind of need these custom sounds. Plus, I've seen far too many Source Filmmaker movies where custom sounds have been used.

Thanks!
Crusty.

here's the settings I use

Audio: 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, PCM

and I place them in my usermod\sound folder

What I did/do is download a simple file converter (I believe I have something called jetaudio which was free on download.com), and convert whatever sound file you want into a .wav file. From there, just put it in the usermod/sound folder.

Don't go misunderstanding ok but in any forum community or forum website, it's considered rude to revive a dead thread.

Try searching up necroposting and read a thing or two about it

Ahh gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I was confused as to the whole "random people replying to my super old threads then randomly being mad about it question mark(?)" thing.
