DirectX Shader Model 9.0?

Everytime i load up SFM, it reads a message saying: You need to install DirectX Shader Model 9.0. This only affects the graphics, and this is why the viewport is whiter. But what im saying is that how can i install the newest Shader Model?

There are a few threads on this problem. After I had suggested that they uninstall then reinstall DirectX there has been any other feedback in the threads, so I would imagine my suggestion was correct.

SO, It could be a registry problem, I would suggest you uninstall then reinstall DirectX...

EDIT: Was wrong aboout the Shader model version, its actually DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0

Most likely your PC doesn't have dedicated GPU unit instead you only the integrated GPU such as Intel Graphic 620.

It means your PC is too weak to run SFM. Unless I'm wrong, please share your PC specs and maybe we can figure out possible technical problem.

You are likely right, but i would like to find a way, if possible, to access some features blocked by this issue (like the option to choose outline only in the render settings)
