SFM Stops Responding [SOLVED]
Everytime i start SFM, it stops responding. I've tried to reinstall, reset game configurations, but it still crashes. Any suggestions?

It might take a few minutes for SFM to load, especially the first time, and the Source engine has this uncanny habit of not responding to Windows when it loads. If however it stays in the "not responding" state for more than ten minutes, that's not normal. Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements?

Yes, it does. I have waited about one hour for the SFM to start responding, but it didn't.

Have you tried validating your Steam cache files? Also, do you have any custom content loaded in? Like stuff exported from TF2 such as the Halloween items, or Gmod models or the like.

Yes, i did. And i have custom content on.

That might just be it. Have you tried without the custom content? One example of where that might be problematic is Gmod models that were packaged with custom LUA code, like character spawn lists.

I only copy materials and models.
I don't copy lua, because i think that it'll do more bad than good.

Same problem
do you just go on and blank screen

You still should try with only the vanilla stuff (i.e. what came with the SFM), as it can be finicky with custom content nonetheless.

I've found a way to fix it.
You delete the whole usermod folder, validate the files. After Steam downloads the missing files, copy it somewhere. Every time before you start SFM, copy the copied usermod folder into the SFM game folder.

You have to wait more, because it needs lot of time to launch
