Unsupported Graphics Card?
So a while ago when this error appeared saying "Your graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements to run SFM. You need a graphics card that supports at least DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0. If yo have a system that contains both integrated and higher-end graphics, you may need to change your driver seetigns to enable the higher-end graphics."

So I decided to check what i have and I have DirectX 11.0 - Pixel Shader 5.0.
So does that mean I need to change my driver settings to enable higher-end graphics? What do I do?

I have the same problem. But in my case, Intel Graphics can't be considered real graphics card lol. Anyway, it is something what doesn't affect SMF's functionality, so you don't have to worry. And that white line over the viewport can be disabled too.

Here, check this video, it says how to remove the white line

It doesn't seem to cause any problems....
I don't what's wrong with my computer every time I used Source Filmmaker.
this really annoyed me but the video helps a lot I watched a tutorial and it said I had to buy something for 3,000 $$$ and I am not doing that!
I had the same problem before, I just got a new graphics card and replaced my old one.

the same thing is happening to me but i have a radeon rx560. ive had it for almost a year and using sfm fine for a few months until today. everything has a white sort of hue to it - everything is disgustingly bright. when i go into control panel, my graphics card is still displaying, along with its info. helpp?
Hi there! I wanted to share my solution to this problem. I have a hp pavilion with intel core i7 with intel uhd graphics 620 and nvidia geforce. The laptop was brand new and I got the unsupported graphics card error. I downloaded various graphics drivers from the nvidia and intel website to ensure everything’s up to date, updated the drivers, made sure Windows was updated, followed the advice above pertaining to the nvidia control panel, rebooted, still to no avail. I decided to just stick with the bad graphics and gave up and played some tf2. Then I changed everything in the nvidia control panel back to default/auto graphics. I opened SFM and it seems to work fine now! Maybe you just need to play some tf2 first?!

TF2 has nothing to do with it.It's the Nvidia control panel. Just got lucky that driver actually working and SFM able to detect that driver.

I think you’re right. From my experience, I’ve put the settings back on the Nvidia control panel. From there, it’s a 80-20 chance SFM actually reads my settings on my laptop, but it works. If I do get the error, I restart my laptop and hope it works the next time. It’s like RNG whether SFM and Nvidia connect or not.
uhm i have an intel(R) UHD Graphics sfm does not work for me if I have that on my computer no what would be my solution without the nvidia control panel ?

There's nothing you can't do about it. SFM can only work best with dedicated Nvidia or AMD GPU. At best, you need to get used to SFM's terrible image quality and high crashing tendency.
