Hello, I have a weird bug where both in SFM and rendering.

In SFM, I fade in a custom sound, but it doesn't play when I fade it in, but plays fine when it's not faded in.

In rendering, the custom sound doesn't play at all when faded in. All help would be appreciated.

Happens to me too. Audio with a fade-in tend to not play, including in rendered videos. A workaround would be to bake the fade-in in an audio software like Audacity.

NECRO ALERT!

Like R234 said, the fade in/out effect don’t work well sometimes. Best to add the effect at post-editing like Sony Vegas, After Effect, OpenShot to edit the sound or add a sound to the video.
