After accepting the label, I checked to see what countries would not be able to view the content, The whole Western Hemishpere was banned from viewing it. SO, I deleted it.
What reallly picked me off is that I researched YouTube for the content I was going to use and found a whole bunch of people have used the exact same content I was using, all of them visible to me. I uploaded mine and half the world is banned from see it... go figure!!
I'm not gonna lie, that was one the most epic SFM videos I've seen so far. Congrats on the 200, 000+ views, BTW.
From personal experience (I write novels), thinking up original plots can be challenging, especially since a large majority of ideas are already used up one way or another. Considering how difficult it is to create animations on Source Filmmaker without relying on other software, it will take people months or even years to make truly original videos with original plots. (If I'm not mistaken, Valve took two years to make Meet The Medic, which is only about 4 minutes long. They even had outtakes)
With the littlest time possible, the best that most people can do is to change an existing one or adapt from another person's idea. Still, every now and then, a big project made by the patient and "not-so-lazy" people would be done and the good ones will slowly pop up.
Plus, Youtube's tendency to put copyright strikes or warnings (within reason) on videos featuring other people's music almost makes it impossible to create potentially original videos that uses music that does not belong to Valve.
As for me, I'm still new to Source Filmmaker or animating in general so the vids I make have plots that are no more original that most people have uploaded. I am working on other bigger projects but I only have so little time to work on them. If you want some examples (or if I'm allowed to advertise my vids), here are some vids I made

I'm a wrestling fan and I saw no one making a wrestling based vid using SFM.
I've been working on some maybe more avante-garde kind of things that try to get away from the embedded politics of SFM/TF2. You might like them!

The only thing that destroys projects for me: The lack of IK Rigs.
If you want to make films on your own, you're going to need to write, or find a writer. You can't just coast by, getting views by using someone else's written material. It's cheap, hacky, and I can't respect it.
A few test videos, sure. A couple of well animated scenes from your favorite movies, why not. That's fine.
But when you've got dozens of 30 second videos, using audio clips that you stole, just because it's too hard to write something yourself and get it voiced; you've gone past the "I'm just buying time until my real project is finished" stage, and have reached the "I'm a talentless hack who likes to steal other peoples creations and call them my own" stage.
Not having your own materials and models is understandable. People actually go off to college to learn how to do that. Nobody expects you to become a technical wunderkind all on your own. If you decide to do that anyway, that's amazing, and congratulations to you. But constantly "borrowing" from other media is nothing short of laziness and theft.
But, that's just my opinion; and who am I, really.
